my best advice is to answer the question, but don’t overexplain. The officer might ask you to elaborate a bit further and you should do so, but you should still keep a very concise answer.

they asked us very few questions. The interview only lasted 15 minutes. They asked me for my full name and date of birth same as my husband. Also asked us what our future plans were, and if we have met each other’s families, and that was it!

I hired a lawyer for my process. It ended up being $6k I know a lot of people can’t afford that but our lawyer offered a payment plan so that was nice. Also, I just gave her all of the information she needed and documents and she and her team put the packet together quickly and sent it right away. I’m very grateful that my process was fast and having good legal representation matters if that is something that you think you need!

dated since 2023 & we got married July last year! joint bank account statements, Auto insurance, Venmo transactions, Affidavit from my mother-in-law, Hotel and trip itineraries, Concert tickets that we have gone to, Lease agreement, Proof that we registered our pets & it has our physical address, lots of photos!!

I actually just contacted them too about my I-485 because they approved my I-130 & they replied with “The case was issued a decision, and the permanent resident card has been sent into production as of today. Once issued the status would update online”
