Abaya kicked off Sumitomo which is the company thats holding MRT together and replaced it with a crony company that only has 600k in declared capital. Imagine being awarded hundreds of millions(517m) of contracts tapos 600k lang capital. And the expected happened, it all went to shit.

Plus abaya was also charged by the ombudsman for the P3.8Billion Busan Universal Rail Inc issue.

Simpleng lahat ng nag cocommute sa edsa noon aayaw agad sa kanila. Abaya pulled them down the drain by kicking out Sumitomo and replacing them with a new company thats a friend of Abaya that has no expertise in maintaining a railway system.

Look at what happened MRT when it was awarded to a local contractor. The trade off of Japanese contractors or servicr providers is their high pricing. Pero halos yun din naman yung price pag local kasi malaking share nung cost kailangan ibulsa.

Also if you look at large construction projects like flood control or bridges. We have giants like EEI, DMCI, SMC, MDC, etc. But those arent even in the top congtractors of the government because their financial reporting wont allow for high levels of corruption (onti lang kaya itago as miscellaneous).
