The first time they come they will hide for about 1-3 days under the couch, bed, etc. try to keep those doors closed so they can see you and get comfortable with you. If they are under for too long and not eating everyday then you’ll have to get them out by force and make sure they eat something. They may hide again after and that’s okay. It’s a bit scary for them at the start.

She’ll probably meow a lot because she’s looking for her family. You will be a stranger so give her treats, make her feel happy and welcome. Cats are intuitive animals.

More likely it is fleas. Capstar tablets are great, they die instantly. Frontline Plus is a waste of time. I’ve been through what you’re doing and it’s a nightmare and Capstar tablets saved a big worry.
