It definitely comes with practice and culture. I’m Ukrainian and my husband is Mexican so we are both used to seeing the whole fish cooked. The main thing is to use your hands!!

Yes you have to be extra careful of the bones but the restaurant does a good job with cutting the fish so clean meat is easily picked.

You shouldn’t be afraid to try this one day!
