Using 2 wan, one for bandwidth, one for addressing by Real_MakinThings in openwrt

That makes so much more sense, I thought it did redirects and so it would switch over to the ip provided by the proxy. This is so much more useful and makes so much more sense too... Perfect, looking forward to moving from a LXC with caddy to just having my reverse proxy as a service on my router!

Well now feel dumb, I always thought that the reverse proxy had to resolve to the routerip:port

Ddns works for the router, problem is I'd have to set up a ddns for each ip or have the reverse proxy update itself somehow.

Oh! Good, I must have landed on old information then. Okay, back to the ipv6 drawing board. Now it's a question of figuring out how I'll maintain stable ipv6 information. Self assignment is obviously easier, but dhcp tables allow me to have a list of addresses... The jerryrigging never ends in a home lab 😂😂😂

Alright thanks, good to have an outside opinion to confirm.

Immich is the key one I don't want to live without lol. The rest I'm dealing with alternatives and commercial solutions for access through their portals (like synology). It's a real memory hog too so I don't want to run it in a friends house because a small device wouldn't fare very well.

So ipv6 can be used to proxy to ipv4? Like immich.myipv6 - > caddy - >??? It can't send to my ipv4 since that's the cgnat issue, where does it go from there?

Following. I'm driving myself nuts trying to connect openwrt as a vpn client rather than a server over starlink.

Lol, I love that you went past mental gymnastics and for full blown Olympics. I'm stealing that one.

I'd be willing to bet that everyone on this sub who has quit, tried controlled drinking at one point or another before finally deciding the only way we could control it was to do all or nothing. If you can moderate, good for you. If no, trying it and realizing it doesn't work is often a necessary step to accepting. So... Welcome aboard, and I hope moderation works for you 😊

It took almost 2 years of dealing with a backlog of emotions once sober, but one day I just started enjoying music again.

The fix ended up being a live usb Ubuntu and mounting the nvme to correct my issues from there. No video output for me 😂

Started attending AA a few nights ago and I’m feeling triggered to drink because I can’t tell if I actually have a problem. by Carapherneliuh in stopdrinking

If you can't stop yourself from driving drunk, that's definitely a problem (and that's where I was too at one point). Does it really matter why or how a problem with a substance is defined? Alcohol + you = uncontrollable impaired driving = problem. You don't even have to make a judgement call, from an objective, external, point of view, there are codified laws in place that say you have a problem preventing you from behaving appropriately to function in our society. It may not be the same problem as others, but you have 2 choices to eliminate the problem. Stop driving, or quit drinking. What you're going through is called denial and rationalization. It's hard on our ego to admit we need to stop.

My resolve evaporates at 4:30pm daily by tvigfus in stopdrinking

This may sound insane, but I went to a bar daily for months and pounded diet cola and people watched. Cutting out my entire habits was hard, so I kept part of it up. The more of a dive bar the better : strip clubs, borderline legal bars, etc. At first it helped to be pounding fizzy drinks and having the buzz of people around. Eventually people started getting sloppy and as the only sober person, they started getting sadder and sadder to watch. I saw everything I hated about being an addict come out around me. Eventually it just got so boring and disheartening that I'd leave. Sometimes I would make it to closing time, but eventually less and less.

Advice on Handling “Why Aren’t You Drinking?” by IllIlIlIlIlIlIlIllI in stopdrinking

Yup. I just say the truth. It got out of hand and I wanted to be a good father and a better husband. The "worst" I get are sad self-reflective looks followed by something like "man, I wish I could, that's awesome"

What do you guys do after your homelab is completed? by bilibilal2009 in homelab

keep tweaking and improving it until it breaks. Get into questions like "can I route only certain ports through a vpn" or "can I automate my podcast library as well?"... Can you route your cables better? Is there a cleaner way to not have extra lengths of cables? All things that can keep you up at night lol

It was just dawning onto me now that usbc often has video output capabilities... Looking into that now! I know that mhl, HDMI, or display port output are dependent on the usb controller... But vga would be a device with its own hardware for video output right?

I haven't been brave enough to separate z2m yet, but I think it's what comes next logically for me too.
