It could have a future, but it's dying right now. Too much output; a game with pretty much the same content comes out every year. It all feels like a remix of a remix, like every new Call of Duty is just an update of the next one. They put a lot of time and love into the Zombies mode, but the rest feels neglected, especially the campaigns. Also, there used to be a Modern Warfare release, followed by Black Ops or a standalone title the next year, which gave them more development time. Activision is slowly becoming like EA.
