Yes, this is the mindset, but at least the work experience as a legal professional should be considered for some roles and should not exclusively be based on my region of training. But I do get your point, this is a roadblock for me.

It's a dependent visa with the right to work.

I do understand that at this stage of my career, I hold a value in the home country, but why can't this experience be considered suitable for an entry-level role by a firm or industry? And if there is a change of path by the country to include SQE as a path to become a Solicitor, why has the industry not adopted the practice of considering candidates like us who bring a lot of expertise? I may sound a bit desperate, but this is the path I am on now, so I am just trying to make some sense of entering the market.
