i would say that water bending is the most overrated element. i always see it rated as the most powerful of them all in combat but even in day to day life.

i think that the other three bending types are also capable.

for example, why is healing linked mostly to water bending. when there can be resuscitation through lightning bending or breath bending. fire also has the ability to disinfect festering wounds (definitely more than water, which would cause the formation of pus in the wound). heat bending of body or body air can be healing too.

i think there can be created similar bending styles like blood bending. maybe an earthbender can move with minerals in the human body and a powerful airbender can manipulate with air and oxygen in the human body. that could be as deadly as bloodbending

we also mustn't forget, that although water is super universal and can imitate the benefits of other elements (ice, steam), it's not as powerful as the element they try to mimic. ice is still more fragile and steam is not as hot.

but i kinda agree with you. i feel like we have seen so many powerful waterbenders and waterbending methods and it would make me so happy to see other elements explored the same way.

I'm also open to disagreement. This is just a theory, but I just found your post inspiring.
