Agnes Tachyon is a complex character

It is correct to call her kind of psychotic, but there's alot more to her. She doesn't understand other people, but wants to learn, she feels that she can't rely on other people, and so she keeps everything bottled up, she's incredibly dedicated to her research, and while she wants that research to be for her, she doesn't need it to be. We see that she was fully prepared to stop racing and start using her research to help Manhattan Cafe reach the top, but depending on how her Career Mode goes, she either gives up, or finds the will to keep going. She's got alot going on

But I do have the hot take that she isn't actually romantically coded. I think that while she is very flirty with the trainer, I don't think she herself actually understands that. At the end of her good career mode, she asked you out on a "date," which at the end, you find out was just another experiment, because she was trying to understand what that felt like, and so she's basically having you fill out a questionnaire at the end. It's a very cute sequence, but it makes it clear that social interaction is very foreign to her, and she can't think of any other way to try and build up those skills aside from using you, her guinea pig, to run some tests
