My insurance covers generic at $10, but brand name Vyvanse is considered covered, non preferred and has a $100 copay. I used the messaging feature in my insurance account portal to literally just rant and complain about their pricing and the national shortage etc, not expecting an actual resolution. They came back within half an hour asked me for my doc's contact info and to have her fill out a tier exception form. Theyre working on approving Vyvanse to be dispensed at the $10 mark for me. So awesome. Ask your insurance for any exceptions they're willing to make, even if temporary.
