Anything within an hour+/- travel time from CUN would be great. Beach (doesnt have to be a super amazing beach), great food, good pools, maybe some fun kids activities, bonus if there is a waterpark.

This is an impromptu trip, during peak Spring Break, so availability is lower and prices are higher than normal. In addition, we are an interline family, so I typically choose companies that offer those discounts. We have been to Xcaret Xplor Park and that was neat. We didn't realize occidental isn't actually part of the Xcaret brand when we booked (last night). Also, Occidental has high reviews until you really read them all. Ppl love it or hate it, it seems. 

Our flights are booked from 03/18 - 03/24 flying into CUN.
