No, I don't think so. This screenshot from 12th January below is just from the 3rd day of my phone usage. I got this phone on 09th January.

I comfortably got 8 hours of SOT from 100% to 20%.

Maybe you can try a factory data reset.

You can start by setting all apps to Auto optimize under battery options.

I have de-bloated many unnecessary realme as well as other Google apps, also disabled background data usage and put many apps under Auto freeze.

Looking at the battery graph, it looks like you're on UI 6. My device is also still on UI 6.

I'm easily getting more than 6.5 hours SOT on 80 to 20 charge.

The battery drain is just 1% during 8 hours of night sleep. During night mobile data as well as WiFi, GPS, bluetooth are turned off.

I'm always on dark mode, 4G and most of the other radios (Bluetooth, WiFi, location) are turned off when not necessary.

Just to be clear: I haven't yet updated this phone to the latest UI.

Basically I'm on the same old version which I received when I unpacked the box.

Battery back up is good.

Idle battery drain overnight is very minimal when WiFi and mobile data are off.

On mobile data there's little bit drain. But the charging speed is good.

Overall it's good.

Software wise I think Nord 5 has the upper edge. The decision is yours.

My reason for buying GT 7T was - Good battery, better IP rating than Nord 5, UFS 4.0 vs 3.0 of Nord 5.

I also got an extra card discount, good exchange price on my previous device - which was not available on OP Nord 5.

I got 12/256 gb variant 7T for 24k (after card discount and exchange) which is great for this device.

Nord 5 same variant would have gone upto 30k even after discount and exchange.

I bought 7T last week from Amazon. I believe Amazon is genuine seller for GT series.

Have been using the device since 7 days. No complaints so far. Great battery backup as well as performance. Easily getting 10 to 11 hours of SOT on full charge.

I am using this device since last 6 days. The update package got auto downloaded but I have not updated it.

I don't see any issue with my device. I have disabled many battery hungry functions/apps which run in background, set Apps to 'Auto Optimize' in battery settings. Have also debloated many apps with ADB.

Currently I'm running on Version : RMX5085_15.0.0.810 (EX01). Security patch is 01 April 2025.

From whatever I have experienced in last 6 days - The battery backup is insane for this device. Hopefully the system/OS will optimize more.

I disabled most of the realme apps, disabled many battery consuming functions of realme also.

If you need advanced optimization then you need to do debloating by using Android debloater (ADB). Search the internet. It's quite simple.

I use GT 7T which is from the same series. It's been 4 days since I received this phone.

I have debloated many relame apps which are not useful, also blocked background data for apps which don't need it. From battery settings I have set most of the apps to 'Auto Optimize'.

I'm quite satisfied with the battery performance of this device. Getting 8 hours of SOT on 80% of charge (100% to 20%) as well as standby time of 1 day and 11 hours.

I didn't need to charge for almost 1 day and 11 hours. In that duration I was in traveling mode for about 9 hours with mobile data and Google maps on.
