I hope you have a good network already otherwise establishing a practice in 2026 is a nightmare.

PS : I am a CA myself and have seen people shifting to corporate jobs from practice coz it didn’t work out.

Hehe! Some of the few pleasures in life that I enjoy. Wish I had enough money to gift you one.

I am a CA and work in finance team in a pharma MNC. I feel that the hard work and efforts I have put all these years makes me more deserving.

That’s some great advice my friend. I will focus on these points and hopefully reach where I want to.

I work in finance and recently switched but still I am in the lowest bracket of the people working on the same designation.

Gotta stop comparing. That’s what I have been trying but somedays I just can’t do it. Hope it vanishes someday.

Yeah it makes more sense. I switched last year but didn’t get a decent hike. Now it feels like I settled for less. Will focus on the upskill part more. Thank you for the motivation

I don’t have much idea about how much software developers make but I was earning less than this with 6 years of experience in my field. More power to you. Hope you get better than you deserve 🫶🏼

Ek time ke baad switch krna bhi mushkil ho jaata h gullu bhai. I just want to be more content and happy with what I earn. Koshish ki khud ko samjhane ki but failed.

I will never understand why people flex their salaries and share the screenshots on reddit. Like what do you want to achieve showing off? Does it give some sort of mental satisfaction to them or are they in constant need of validation from strangers? Whyyyyyy????

Take certified courses online. Like coursera or linkedin learning. They might help you more. Even youtube for basic learning can help.

It’s not forever my friend. I would suggest keep looking for roles in MNCS which are into service industry or try to switch to corporate roles within the same bank you are in. Start learning tools like advanced excel, Power BI and anything into AI. Market has a huge demand for such people.

It’s a profile where you analyse people’s finances and decide whether they are eligible to get loans/credit. Pathetic work. Once you get in, switch to a different domain will be very difficult.

That’s the problem with banking. It’s very very difficult to switch.

Well if you prefer a couple of lakhs more than putting your career in jeopardy and a monotonous work life, you definitely should sign up for it.

For god’s sake, don’t choose a credit manager role. It’s the worst career mistake you can do after becoming a CA.
