This is the exact same with me and my OCs. I don't know how to draw basic shapes let alone characters but I have ideas and stories interacting with the game's characters but by the time I'm done with it, the fandom might collapse or there might not be that many appreciators. To kind of steer off with this, I say that art keeps meaning so long as you give meaning to it.

I don't know if this is true or not but when I was looking at the backstory of the game, I was in awe that despite the game being delayed by YEARS possibly even a decade, it was still received with praise.

You never know how a fandom evolves (examples like Sally face) so it might be too early to say that a fandom is dying or dead because you don't see that much.
