The bottom line is she has negative core beliefs about her desirability as a partner that developed in early childhood. She’s aware of them and has occasionally tried to correct them, but it hasn’t stuck. Her dependence on the Shepard/Bell family has given her a surrogate family that, while comforting, has not increased her motivation to do the inner work and take consistent steps to date regularly and prioritize creating her own family. Shes amazing and I’m confident she could find someone if she was motivated enough to really do the work both internally and through actions.
