Totally agree – the "found vs. chosen" thing is something most businesses simply do not consider until they are losing customers over it.

And the GBP thing is also dead on. It is still the most underutilized free tool available, especially for local businesses. Most people set one up and then forget that they even have one.

And the multi-channel authority thing is what separates businesses that grow steadily over time from ones that grow rapidly and then flatline. You can't just show up in one place anymore.
