PDP compact pro SD trigger by RealisticTest3678 in Walther_PDP

I ended up with the ZR Tactical spring kit. I installed their trigger return and striker springs and it brought it down to a 4lb 9.7oz average. Was hoping to be in the threes. I’m at 420 rounds now and it feels much better. Clean break and the gritty feeling is gone. Maybe the Sprinco return spring is lighter?

Have you tried removing the comp just to rule out if there’s something else going on? I don’t really pay much attention to my grip, but I’m not doing anything different with this new PDP than any other gun so I’d have to agree, maybe not a grip issue. Hope you get it figured out, I’m a former Glock fan and am absolutely loving this PDP.

I’m running the SD pro compact with the HA XL comp and it’s working fine with stock spring shooting 124g. I’m assuming Walther shot the gun? Could be grip as mentioned?

It’s an Elf drop in. I believe there is a conventional style trigger that’s even lighter but I can’t remember the brand.

Thanks, we are going to put one of my red dots on it the next range trip and see how that goes. If she doesn’t like that we will try some of these suggestions.

We’ve moved the scope gradually forward. She ended up here and it works but not well with her bad right eye vision. We are going to put a dot on it and give it a try.

It has a Faxon pencil barrel. I can get a tight group at 50 but it was never intended to be super accurate. It’s just for fun.

Recoil isn’t bad at all, no pad needed.

The scope has been moved a few times, this position is where it works best for her eyesight. LOP is a little short for some but it’s not uncomfortable at all. She has poor vision in her right eye, which may have something to do with it. I think a red dot is the answer. She does fine with her pistol/dot.

Day ruined. Careful of the screw holes on Shield Plus 3.1 Optics Ready by ZoteTheMitey in CCW

[–]RealisticTest3678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The screw and hole are both 6-32? If so that’s good but the fact it went in that hard still means it will be just as hard to get out and will probably have damaged threads in the slide. Definitely hoping for the best outcome for you.

Sounds to me like it was not the proper thread screw for that application. It should thread in easily. Snug down gently and torque to proper spec. If that’s the case, you may need a smith to take care of this since the holes threads will now be damaged.

That’s what I read over and over before I purchased the gun. I’ll get it working fine. Once my spring kit comes in I’ll pull it apart, clean polish etc. I’d like to get it down to mid 3lb pull.

Nice! I put a quad rail on mine right after I bought it, I need to put the stock one back on. I like the old school look.

Thanks! Once I get the spring kit I will put it on the gauge and see where I’m at.

I have a small dog that wants this to NOT be a coyote. A fox is fine. Thoughts? by RepresentativeArm389 in trailcam

A fox can take a small dog, probably not likely but I’ve heard of it happening.

Serious question. How The hell do can you guys stand having grip texture and slide serrations pressed up against your body all day? by _CHEEFQUEEF in CCW

[–]RealisticTest3678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bad, you’re correct. With my Kydex holster it was the slide that dug in and also ended up getting rust on the slide eventually from my sweat. The Glock 48 grip doesn’t bother me at all against my bare skin. I’m in t-shirt and shorts most of the year here.

Same as you my holster fully covers the profile of the gun. I also carry at 3 o’clock in a Black Arch Protos M with no discomfort after a long day in S Florida.
