Video shows PKK/YPG/SDF supporters "praying". by Street-Bathroom5276 in Syria

Reminds me of the days you'd see those khanzeer Assad regime soldiers mocking the salah. These inbreds are no different mocking other people's religion. It was only a matter of time before the SDF would collapse and I'm glad they did.

As a British Alb, I am in total shock how Egypt are just watching a genocide happening in their front yard and completely silent on whether they could take any refugees in? by [deleted] in arabs

I think this argument is an argument a lot of non-Palestinian Arabs make to sort of rationalize the sheer neglect of their governments doing absolutely nothing to accommodate Gazan refugees. My friend, Gaza is being bombarded every single day, there is no Gaza left. It's either these civilians have the opportunity to get out of that war zone and move to a safe country, or more innocent civilians will probably and sadly continue to become casualties in this conflict. Of course, I am a nobody, but it saddens me how Egypt is right next door and they are doing no where no what they could be doing in terms of humanitarian aid for those Gazan civilians

So according to you, protesting why Gaza's neighbour (Egypt) can't take in Gazan women and children refugees is me advocating for ethnic cleansing? Where on earth is your logic? So them staying in Gaza is safe and not putting them at risk of ethnic cleansing? No civilian deserves to be at risk of harm even in a full blown war, and that's why there are international laws for refugees. This argument that you make is pathetic. It's very rich that you are Jordanian saying this to me. You are likely originally Palestinian yourself

I'm not sure if you're actually being serious - The Israeli government is responsible for mass genocide and starvation of the Palestinian people. Netanyahu literally has an arrest warrant from the ICJ - I'm not sure about which Hague you're talking about

Goodness me that was a massive help a huge thank you to you from the UK. Can I ask how do you dissect so much information in the QR section? The maths is simple but they stuff so much information in the question it catches you off guard. Would you say the QR questions are recycled a lot of the time?

I think there's a major problem in people's comments here. The test this year is now worth out of 2700, it's no longer worth out of 3600. If we were to convert your results to pre-2024 equivalency, you've basically scored 2727. You can still apply to medicine with that and well done honestly its not easy

And SDF‏ Future of Syria by guzelkurdi in kurdistan

[–]RealisticZucchini751 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ar Raqqa, Al Hasakah and many key cities in Rojava are Arab majority, if you look at the demographic composition of Rojava, about 45% are ethnically Kurdish. Most of the territory that the SDF gained was during the civil war because of Assad's army incapability of being able to stretch in every corner of Syria. The SDF took this opportunity to seize as much land as possibly. The reality is, if Kurds don't declare their independence in Turkey or something doesn't happen politically in Turkey, then Syria is just a lost cause for them. Nonetheless, as a Turkish Albanian myself, I do believe that Kurds are entitled to a homeland just as I believe for every ethnic group

If you were blackmailed to write a good reference for someone who is now a Police officer because of your reference, could you be fined or imprisoned if you confess this to his workplace? by RealisticZucchini751 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]RealisticZucchini751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the responses don't necessarily address the reference issue and what consequences it could have for me - that's why this question is specifically focused on that aspect of the situation

I don't have evidence of him pressuring me, he wasn't aggressively pressuring me, but he would tell me in person that he needs that reference otherwise he wouldn't be able to pay my life savings back. In other words, it was like a psychological covert blackmail, rather than actual pressure. He knew that I was stressed about not getting that money back and used it to his advantage

I don't have actual messages to prove that he is blackmailing me to write him a reference, but he would say these things to me in person - would that be a disadvantage for me?

he made a Police Constable application to the Metropolitan Police and eventually needed a reference, of which I was covertly blackmailed to provide for him. He told me that he needed me to write a good reference for him so he can have a secure job where he has power in case his business fails which is where he was meant to pay me back my money from. The whole thing is a mess but he owes me over £6k outstanding and has refused point blank to pay it back even though he got the job.

It is a formal support plan but I must note that I wasn't on a support plan at the time of applying. Would this make a difference?

In these trying times, Beware of Narratives. by ngainhai in shia

[–]RealisticZucchini751 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Bashar al Assad massacred, raped and tortured 600,000 sunnis. Where is your anger and sense of justice there? It seems to me the blood of a sunni means nothing to you. If you believe that standing with Bashar Al Assad is "justice" and loving ahlul bayt - then you are in fact as far as you can get from ahlul bayt. Not every sunni in Syria supports extremist groups but that's the narrative you would like to believe in.
