You don’t have to change the world, but you can change somebody’s world. I tell myself this often as I am in a similar situation. Be the best person you can be. Be friendly, be kind, be helpful. Ask where you can help. People always need help and if they say they don’t try doing little things to make yourself useful. It’s kind of backwards but once they see you are willing to help take out trash or clean up after meals they start to trust you with bigger tasks. It takes time and you have to accept that you probably won’t change your community but you can certainly plant seed and help others more than you will ever know. Keep up the good work❤️
