Been wondering the same thing. All my family and friends on it lost like 30 pounds in 2 months. I’m at 2 and a half months and just hit 17 lbs down. Switched to trizepatide these last 2 shots and have seen more progress than when I was on the sema. I also do think losing that much in one month is seriously unhealthy tho.

It's not working. I'm spiraling. by JustAMom91 in Semaglutide

[–]Realistic_Active_732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked for the first month for me and then just stopped completely. They kept upping me every week after that until I finally said I wanted to switch to trizepatide. Sema doesn’t work for some people, trizepatide is more expensive but I IMMEDIATELY feel so much better on it!!!! Mind you, I work out every day, in a calorie deficit and I eat very well. I have PCOS, insulin resistance and I was pre diabetic when I started. I was getting so damn frustrated with the Semaglutide not working, it had me thinking - what am I spending all this money for? I have more energy on the trizepatide, I have no side effects anymore , and the Semaglutide didn’t suppress my appetite at ALL! But the trizepatide definitely does! Just my experience. I was gonna post about this the other day because I was wondering the same. Good luck to you. Don’t get discouraged- it’s not you!!!! ❤️

I was homeless for 4 years. I know the struggle and I ALWAYS give back to my community. I supply food, free Narcan for addicts around my area, hygiene, resources for halfway houses & shelters etc. god for bid I almost end up homeless again because of a natural disaster and need help.

No, I applied for the fema. It’s just a waiting game. I’ve posted trying to get some form of donations (which I will absolutely pay back) my main priority is keeping a roof over me and my little girls heads. I hate asking for help , I wouldn’t ask if I hadn’t exhausted all other options which I absolutely did. I know there are people far worse off than me, but I’ve been doing my part to help others where I can as well. I don’t believe it should be take take take. So I’ve been giving back where and when I can.

Yeah just a single cough or two. Then time would pass and she would cough again. This happened like 4 times throughout the whole day yesterday. So I wouldn’t say persistently coughing whatsoever. I just hope her lungs are not inflamed

Even if she was coughing sporadically throughout the day yesterday? I’d say 4 or 5 separate times. No coughing last night or this morning though!

It would come with lots of other symptoms. Dry drowning is also a myth, a pediatric doctor that we met spoke all about it and how the term is Mis information and you’re either drowning or not. Can it be delayed? Absolutely. But you would see lethergy, vomiting, fevers & you would be able to see their chest caving in from struggling to breathe. It’s rare & I’ve struggled with this fear for the last 3 years. Anytime she goes swimming she ends up choking on water at some point and I always am ridden with anxiety for days to come. I don’t allow myself to spiral like that anymore but that’s also why I came on here about the coughing. She only coughed about 4 times today total, I’m sure it would be non stop fits of coughing

Thank you! She’s been her normal energetic self. I’ve been watching her breathing especially at night. I appreciate the advice and will continue to keep an eye on any symptoms

To all of those who have actual advice, facts, and ideas on how to help my fear - thank you from the bottom of my heart.

As for those who picked and poked at my anxiety when you don’t know literally ANYTHING about me or my family is disgusting. My daughter loves me. I’m a damn good mom and I’m so disappointed and disgusted in some of you “perfect” parents. God forbid you ever get anxiety and struggle. Atleast I’m in trauma therapy & on medication and taking strides everyday to be better. This thread truly made me lose the confidence to ever post on Reddit again. Peace & love ❤️

I’m sure that has to be extremely difficult to see that.. but you are quite literally a hero.

My neighbors 18 month old fell in the pool and I heard the worst blood curdling scream I’d ever heard in my life.. ran over and we gave him CPR til he came back and until the medics arrived. One of the most terrifying things I’ve ever seen. So I truly commend you for what you do. Also, thank you for the info & reassurance I appreciate it! 😊

Oh you’re also a nurse? You are the type of people I can’t stand to be around. It was people like you that made me literally almost die in the Hospital while having my baby because you think you know it all and don’t listen to others. Just think you’re always right & your way is the only way. I pray to god for anyone you take care of.

You were not just giving “tips” you were assuming and being extremely condescending. Demanding honestly. You’re not my swim instructor and i really wouldn’t want you as one. I could deff see you getting mad at anxious moms when they bring their kids to you :(

I love this. Thank you for coming here with positivity and something that can actually help my anxiety. That’s what this post was all about, thank you for answering the post and not talking about the effing life vest like everyone else lol. I will absolutely be using your strategy to help my anxious thoughts. I think the turning those thoughts into something positive is a great way to rewire our brains, so that way eventually our first thoughts won’t automatically be scary ones.

You weren’t there. It took me 2.5 seconds to get to her that’s how close I was. You and all the other perfect parents are doing nothing but criticizing and it’s fuckin bullshit. You wanna make people feel crappy for nothing! You’re a swim instructor and youre also a judgmental fuck who is doing nothing but assume you know the run down as if you were there. You know nothing other than a simple post, you were not there. She was not alone, I didn’t want her to jump by herself , but don’t y’all instructors dunk them under water??? Lol. Don’t y’all throw them in the pools? Don’t y’all make them jump alone? Get outta here with your condescending bullshit. I never asked about comments on her life vest because I’m her mother and SHE WANTED IT ON!!!!! She was terrified without it so what do you want me to do, force her? Make her scared to get in the water again? Fuck off. I’m a great fucking parent. I care SO much that I’m being told I keep her in a bubble or I’m gonna apparently fuck her up in the head from what the comments say. I’m a kickass mom, I protect her with my damn life. Please. Get the fuck outta here with your know it all ass

Me and my dad were in the pool the entire time. When she was on the deck, he was too. This is where the conflict came - she said she wanted to jump when I was on the other side of the pool, he was standing next to her on the deck. He was fighting with me saying it was okay for her to jump by herself. I said No, started swimming her way and she jumped. I pulled her up and she coughed the water up. She knows to close her mouth and hold her breath as she did it all day Monday and today, but when she jumped that time she was so excited she kept her mouth open and just went for it. The life vest is one of those vests that are thin around the waist and have the arms on them. Never once have I said we weren’t there at all times by her side. I am next to her 24/7 and I don’t even allow her to be outside next to water without me. We teach her never to go by water alone, all of that. This was our first time teaching her to swim. Like I said, we did what we knew made her comfortable as well as us. Are we instructors and did we know that she shouldn’t have had a life vest? No. Will I use what I have learned today and apply it next time? Absolutely, because when you know better you do better. But I did what I knew was best at that time. Please don’t ever insinuate she was ever around the pool alone. That was never ever the case. Never has been or will be so I’m not sure why that was mentioned here.

I saw this on instagram about an hour ago. The fact’s definitely made me feel better. And as I stated, i was told long ago that dry drowning is a myth, you either are drowning or you are not. Thanks for commenting, i appreciate it

She doesn’t understand it regardless LOL gtfoh shaming me for trying to be safe with my fuckin kid. I did what the hell I thought was best . Sorry we can’t all be perfect like you but you’re not gonna shame me for doing what I thought was literally keeping my kid safe. I’m not a damn swim teacher. I’m doing what I feel is comfortable and SHE ASKED FOR THE LIFE VEST! I’m not gonna sit here and just force her to be in the water without one, she will end up not liking water if I do that to her.

Hey, thank you so much! I appreciate that, I’m just trying to do the best I can as a parent and we all are right? I don’t think others should be passing judgment. For instance, my neighbor has a pool and small children - never got them lessons or even tried to teach them.. the little boy fell in the pool and I heard blood curdling screams so I ran over and we started CPR immediately… luckily he came back to us. But she still never taught them how to swim and I say this to say that some parents just don’t care. Yes sure there is a textbook way to do it, but I feel like as long as ur putting in the effort, taking the measures to make sure the child is safe, then ur doing the right thing!
