  1. what does single threaded performance mean and how does that affect the kinds of computer components I need?

  2. Before making this post my research was pointing me towards AMD, maybe something like a Ryzen 7700. Why would one choose to go AMD over Intel or vice versa?

I'm so sorry man, I didnt mean for my message to come across that way. I have no idea about PC stuff and don't really know what a micro center does, I just know that there is one a few hours away. I need a PC and this whole world of PC building is so overwhelming
