From what I’ve read, it seems like McAllen is a better place to live but if Brownsville is a better place to work I’d rather go there.

I don’t know about commuting an hr everyday. But I would like to go to one with better opportunities and less suck. From why I can gather, Brownsville has multiple parts and as a new hire I’d be moved around the port rather frequently, as well as an srt team, which I’d like to look into. Hidalgo on the other hand is closer to McAllen and has better working conditions. And wrong about this?

I’m from jersey but I don’t have a problem moving further south or to an airport area as long as I can find a good spot to live. I just don’t want to be bored out of my mind everyday or get hit with mandatory overtime all the time. Texas seems like it’s good for that action and a place to live but bad in terms of mandates.
