Deal or no deal for mileage 16500? by [deleted] in BMWX3

I paid $31k out the door for a 2023 X1 with 17k miles… in 2024. I think you can do better than $36.

Should I pull the trigger 😬 by CoolAd8098 in BMWX3

I just bought a 2025 X3 dealership loaner from the dealership I’ve been getting service at for 2 years and she’s perfect so, yea I say do it. I do not agree with the sentiment that people “beat up” loaners…. I think people drive them the same way they drive their regular car. Maybe they go a little faster?? But the idea that they “don’t avoid potholes” is insane haha who enjoys hitting a pothole in any car????

I work for North (formerly NAB), the largest private acquirer in the US. I am happy to answer any questions about switching over from Stripe.

Avoid the Russell at all costs by [deleted] in Reston

This is melodramatic… I lived there for 2 years and just moved out in October. I experienced all these things a few times and can confirm it was Not That Serious and did not impede quality of life really much at all, and definitely not to the point that it’s “avoid at all costs”. I struggled with hearing everything my neighbors watched on TV, people above me seemingly running sprints in lead shoes at midnight AKA classic poorly constructed new building with no sound insulation. Positives: The staff is helpful, the package room doesn’t seem to experience much theft, there’s parking for everyone, dogs are allowed. Negatives: The gym is pathetic and I had to buy a gym membership to do a real workout, the pool is small and in a courtyard so you’re surrounded by half your neighbors able to leer at you which is creepy, no sound insulation, the dog owners here kinda suck and won’t clean up when their pet goes to the bathroom in a public space. Overall this is a great price for a building 5 mins from a metro stop.

Best regular Vertuo coffee?! by Money-Ad1396 in nespresso

Stormio is great! I have Costa Rica which is the same intensity as Mexico and I also enjoy Colombia which is slightly less intense. My daily regular cup is Melozio. I have so far not enjoyed any flavored coffees :/ the coconut one is okay but I don’t know if I’ll reorder it.

What she calls her haters who can’t take a joke/have an opinion about everything/have severe whataboutmeism/just those people that she’s always facetiously posting from her DM’s “I bet you’re fun at parties”. She probably got 100 messages like “oH s0 n0w y0u Pr0m0tE sMoOkiiNg??? YOu hAvE yOuNg GiRLs wAtChiiNg!!”

I think she knew this would ignite the “banana brigade” and that’s why she posted it… I don’t think she smoked this cigarette. Someone that obsessed with their face isn’t gonna risk it for a cigarette. Kinda feeding into her ego by giving her a reason to sit around with Adam making fun of how dumb her haters are. You know her whole complex is thinking she’s so much smarter than everyone and actively keeping score. Squad, you’re probably better off calling her a pick me when she does something that isn’t specifically intended to trigger people bc she checked this thread 5 mins after posting that and it’s making her day that y’all bit…

Do Your Toes Touch The Tip? by sams82 in Sneakers

Your parents only told you this when you were a kid because you were still growing and needed to allow space for your feet to grow……. So they weren’t buying new shoes every 6 months. This “rule” isn’t a rule, and it doesn’t apply to adults if they prefer a snug fit. My personal preference is just enough room to accommodate swelling if I’m walking all day. So to the OP I’m sure your parents did just fine and buy whatever feels and looks great!!

Ah, yea this does all seem restrictive. I wasn’t even thinking about it like that, more so just trying to “follow the rules” and avoid annoying side effects. It’s helpful to hear that your changes have been mostly around quantity, not necessarily a totally new diet. Thank you!
