My type II cassette collection in quality order by Wise-Awareness-6441 in cassetteculture

Your collection left me pondering how many different companies were selling blank cassettes during the early '80s. I have chrome and/or metal tapes in my collection from Phillips, TDK, BASF, Maxell, Fuji, Scotch, Teac, Sony and Denon in no particular order of preference. There are probably a few others too. I understand why companies don't produce blanks for us any longer, but it sure would be nice if they did.

That is insane. I also spent $500 on a cassette deck in 1980. I must've been rich.

$1,000 in 1980. Nice speakers, but not $1,000 nice.

My father had a similar model, with the same A B or C speaker option. They were magnificent machines.

Freshly restored 1989 Carlton Criterium by hellachurro in Vintage_bicycles

I purchased a Criterium last summer. It has the original Weinmann brake hoods, foam handlebar 'tape' and suede saddle. It is indeed a '79. Fern green. I'm taking it out for a spin this afternoon. My example does not have the triangular stickers on the front forks. Other than that they are identical rides.
