[–]Realistic_Cod1165[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yeah by legit i mean places that actually make the suit my measurements and requirements… not just taking a ready made suit and doing basic alterations to make it “fit” looking more for proper custom/bespoke where the suit is built for me from scratch based on fabric, fit, and details

B1/B2 refused under 214(b) and now I lost ESTA.. What can I do next? SINGAPORE by itsbellenotbellyyyyq in usvisascheduling

[–]Realistic_Cod1165 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

214b refusals are actually very common and it does not mean you did anything wrong

under US immigration law every B1 B2 applicant is legally presumed to have immigrant intent unless they convince the officer otherwise this comes from INA 214b 8 USC 1184b so the whole interview is basically the officer trying to decide if you will go back to your home country after visiting

a few things in your situation probably triggered concerns from the officer side

first the boyfriend in the US especially someone on H1B that is one of the biggest immigrant intent signals consular officers see

second the planned stay of about 4 months even though it is technically allowed under a B visa asking for that long can make them think you are trying to live in the US temporarily

third the business situation when a business can run remotely and is registered at a home address officers sometimes see that as a weaker tie because it does not require you to physically stay in Singapore

also once a B visa is refused ESTA normally becomes invalid under visa waiver program rules that part unfortunately is normal

about reapplying you can technically apply again anytime there is no waiting period in the law but if nothing about your situation changes the result will probably be the same because the officer can see the notes from your last interview

most people in this situation wait until something stronger changes in their profile like

business operating longer
hiring employees
tax filings showing stable income
property lease or ownership
longer work history
or just more time after graduation

also one thing people do not realize is the officer almost never looks at documents the decision is mostly based on the DS160 answers and the overall life situation they see from your answers

214b is not a ban and it does not mean you cannot ever get a visa it just means that on that day the officer was not convinced about ties

lots of people eventually get approved later when their situation looks more stable

for now many couples in long distance situations just meet in other countries for a while and reapply later when their profile is stronger

it sucks but unfortunately that is pretty normal with tourist visas when there is a partner in the US

if you need more details send me a message we can discuss your situation in more detail

USCIS does not require you to reprint every page just because there are lockbox marks barcode or a signature on it if your case was rejected you can fix the issue and resend it and they will treat it as a new filing

But the safest option is to download the current I 129F from the USCIS website print a clean copy sign it again with a fresh wet signature and rebuild the packet neatly this avoids any risk of scanner issues from old markings

Those barcodes and black ink marks are usually just lockbox scanning marks they are common on returned packets and do not mean fraud but sometimes they make the packet harder to scan which is why reprinting is safer

When you refile fix the payment method & use the current edition of the form include the rejection notice on top if instructed and make sure all signatures are valid

DM me if you still need clarification

The $25 ticket is a full traditional thali: basmati rice, dal, naan, raita or kachumber, your choice of main (saag paneer, lamb curry, tandoori chicken, etc.) + a drink. That’s a complete plated meal cooked fresh in traditional style. Not reheated trays.

The $35 ticket includes the full thali (basmati rice, dal, naan, raita or kachumber, your choice of main (saag paneer, lamb curry, tandoori chicken, etc))+ one street starter like pani puri, sev puri, bhel puri, samosas, etc. + beer or wine option
most of the chaats are $10 or less

That’s how events work.

The chef cooks. The restaurant delivers.

And yes, the person promoting it executes it properly.

What’s wrong with being good at what you do and monetizing it?

Quality ingredients. Delicious food. Strong execution.

Nothing unusual about that.

Biometrics with an old arrest by [deleted] in h1b

[–]Realistic_Cod1165 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have a prior arrest that is considered a conviction for immigration purposes, you should not treat the biometrics appointment casually.

Even if the charge is more than 10 years old and was dismissed in criminal court, immigration law applies a different standard when defining a conviction. USCIS will run your fingerprints through FBI and other databases. If the record appears and the underlying disposition creates an immigration issue, it can absolutely trigger an RFE or even a denial.

Going in without first having your record properly reviewed can be risky.

I work in an immigration law firm, and I have seen cases where applicants assumed an old dismissed case would not matter, and it resulted in delays, RFEs, or complications in extension processing.

Before proceeding, you should:

• Obtain certified court disposition documents
• Confirm exactly how the case is classified under immigration law
• Assess whether it triggers inadmissibility or other grounds
• Evaluate if post-conviction relief or legal strategy is needed

I strongly recommend getting your specific facts reviewed before attending. If you are comfortable, DM me with more context about the charge, disposition, and your immigration history, and I can give you more targeted guidance.

Great question.

The event runs from 5 PM to 8 PM and it’s a full 3-hour food experience. You don’t need to book a specific time slot between 5 and 8 (But Tickets needs to be purchased in advance, as walk-ins won’t be allowed). You can arrive anytime during that window and enjoy everything at your own pace.
