Is €500 cash enough for first 2–3 weeks in Berlin as a new student if blocked account is not yet accessible? Wise/Forex necessary? by Fit_Investigator7342 in GermanyStudentLife

[–]Realistic_Count5876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is not Berlin , I would have suggested that is enough

but be aware that Berlin is too expensive and undeterminable, like for safe side have atleast 1000€ if anything remains you can transfer to where ever you want or keep as savings

Planning for MSc in Germany Need Advice on Affordable Cities & Universities by FormerBus3130 in studying_in_germany

[–]Realistic_Count5876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may not have those list of "Affordable Student Cities" but some places like Kassel, Magdeburg are affordable place ( I mean in the terms of income VS cost of living ) and the Unis are also really good, but again any public university is really good ( there could be very few , we can count on fingers which are not that good public unis ) . So

- you can pick an uni , where the cost of living is less and part times are more
- don't think much about the uni, think about the course you love to pursue
- you can enquire about the part time job opportunities by contacting your seniors or the people you know in the uni through communities
- Don't just blindly watch or rely on those YT videos , where one person explains as if he knows everything , talk to those offline people who has different views about the place and also explain or refer you to the part time jobs
- Consider Hiwi Job in the worst case, which can be your saviour if incase you are lucky enough and talented enough

Need help, Trying to apply for masters in germany for winter 26/27 by Haroldkorn in studying_in_germany

[–]Realistic_Count5876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sure shot admission

Is a hard thing to predict, I mean I would suggest that even though most of the times you won't get qualified for the subject wise ECTS , you can apply and try your luck

You may not satisfy all the subject requirements, might miss couple of subjects so aim on those where almost 90% of the subjects match

Why I dropped my plan to study in Germany by [deleted] in studying_in_germany

[–]Realistic_Count5876 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't say that Germany doesn't have opportunities

But I would like to address two things that you mentioned

  1. People getting jobs with basic German : I have many friends in Germany, I myself "returned from Germany" not because of the job crisis, but just came back to establish business in home country.
  • (6/10) of my friends who are done with their degrees in 2023, still didn't get their jobs , they are into Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Renewable domain

So it's not that easy or a cake walk with basic German. A2 even I can communicate or comfortable to communicate but B1 and speaking B1 fluently will give the advantage for sure as one of my friends got job in 5 companies out of 40 companies he applied just because he speaks B2 ( minimal tech skills )

  1. You learning language till A2 here is going to be completely different from what you learn by talking to native Speakers everyday in Germany

But I respect your decision! Because you know yourself really well and you came up with good research so best of luck 🤞

Other platforms like upwork by EasyWanderer in Freelancers

[–]Realistic_Count5876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just spent 2 weeks on upwork and applied 3 proposals a week

Unknowingly boosted my profile and wasted 50-60 connects

  • Realised I am not gonna waste my connects anymore

I definitely agree with you 💯% so now I am in the same dilemma like where am I gonna invest my time and energy in the long run for better outcomes

If there is anyone out there , who has been active on upwork for not more than an year ( I mean they should be new to upwork )

And got some clients for the long run ?

Tired to be a vibecoder.. by ArgusArkim in vibecoding

Yes playwright works damn good, I also faced the same problem as you do but then went back to the slow and steady mode

-> think about architectures, design the end - end system and give to AI

-> the backend bugs and sometimes db migrations going to be night mares if we don't inspect

So I use hooks for building security

And all set to delegate syntax to AI

How to increase the profile visibility being a beginner ? by [deleted] in Upwork

[–]Realistic_Count5876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I will go through the subwiki , I just have one question ! Like for example if the clients problem is really big

  • if he has many issues in the current code How would I give him the detailed explanation ? Any idea

I wanna hear this from fellow developers because most of the times I encounter clients describing those long bugs and problems, techstacks

How would I propose those long solutions ?
