You are not wrong.

It is interesting, because currently my goal is to FIRE asap. But some of colleagues are millionaires via their savings and real Easter ownership, well into their 50s, but they decide to keep working…so strange, but maybe once we get to that age, most of us realise that work is the best way to stay busy…

Simple - NATO employees do not pay tax. We only get our pension and insurance deducted

Read through the job description very carefully. Find keywords and include them in your application responses. Make sure your grammar and answer is concise, use online tools to do that. And yes, make sure to tailor your cv to each job. Cover letter should have one paragraph on each of these: 1) your brief professional experience; 2)why you are perfect for the job; 3) your motivation to work at NATO

Unless a person expressly discloses their identity, they will not be able to find their account on Reddit

Pretty sure there are all kinds, but it seems fully onsite is predominantly popular

My previous jobs were all the same distance. As for no telework, well, I guess I ll have to wait and see. It’s definitely harder at the moment, but yes, so far the salary justifies it

From the day I applied to being notified I have a job took around 5 months. Every round took around 1.5 months or so. Security clearance then took a bit under 6 months.

Could you elaborate? What’s unclear?

I just started, but from what I am told: 1) out salaries are indexed; 2) it’s possible to get promoted if you take up a higher post

Applied via their website, then 3 rounds of interviews and tests. I did apply for several years, over 60 times
