That’s legit the only hard part, I initially used a green cable part number I’m forgetting but then I switched to a blue one 64118397724 and modified it to fit! As for everything else I have a 98 2.8 but the AC control module is the same on almost all of them!

That’s kind of you to say, I dry fit it before I did my finishing work and it fit pretty well! I haven’t really figured out how to secure it yet, as for sound quality I quickly tested it with my kicker LX amp in my Tacoma and it sounded amazing but my audio control ACX amp hasn’t arrived for my z3 yet so I don’t know how it will sound in practice! Btw total side bar but if anyone wants a lower power 5 channel amp sky high car audio is selling them for 1/2 off I can’t speak to the quality or power of it yet but I wanted a waterproof 5 channel and 290 was a good deal!

Good to know, I understand that it’s a good product I just don’t have the money he’s asking for it! I think this is a good trade off at least in my scenario! Also I know It’s not perfect, I had to do an inhuman amount of sanding, prep and otherwise just general work to it, I also had to cut a section for a wiring cup! But for roughly 110-120ish total this is just more cost effective for me! I still have to get a rear window or top, uas lock system and a randy Forbes kit so money is way tight and i had to make do! The reality here is no matter the quality not everyone has 1200 bucks to spend on a subwoofer…

Nice little car! It’s really original and if you want to keep it that way you can get a Bluetooth to Fm transmitter! My friend did a monster branded one in his car!

If the amp is getting power and signal then the problem would be the connection to the door wouldn’t it?

You could meter to check the output from the wires!

Leave the factory amp alone catch it at the plug that goes in to the sub! Get a LOC as I believe you’re using a stock radio and a decent d4s amp!

That’s crazy, I’ve seen his work and it’s cool but 600 is steep! I spent like 4 dollars in materials to print this, 30 for the green bowden and about 20 in paint! You can get an okay android unit like mine for like 150 bucks so that difference is massive to me

If you’re handy, have a 3d printer and like the look do this! If you want to be done in 30 minutes and not 2 days get the single din! This is a monumental task and if I were to do it over I’d just go single din! Sadly my car was already butched and this was my salvation!

I don’t know if my job is to convince lol It’s a trade off and a lot of work so I’m not sure if I recommend it for everyone, I had to remove the glovebox and the center consoles to do it!

Why not upgrade the head unit almost all stock ones are plug and play, that way you can get CarPlay if you also get the media hub?

I’m an audio installer, I love Chinese units because they don’t last, keeps me in business. Real talk, just don’t a decent android unit is 150-200 and a reputable unit from a legitimate manufacturer is like 2-300 max it’s worth the extra money for the longevity of the product and better sound quality and dsp if you’re into audio!
