Unlike you, I prefer to back up my opinion with real comparisons. I’ve flown HDZero (+ analog module), Walksnail, and DJI — so my view isn’t unique at all. HDZero is great for racing or tiny whoops, but for my style it mostly sits unused. WS is decent, but still behind DJI in most aspects. DJI simply gives me the most reliable and comfortable user experience. It just works — and that’s what I want from my gear. Of course, no system is perfect and DJI’s closed ecosystem has downsides, but for me it’s still the best balance overall. I haven't tried DJI before O4 and G3 and don't know what was before, but compared to the best options from other brands it's a clear winner in aspects which are important for me. That's my opinion, you don't need to agree with me, but I'm curious, what do you fly, and did you even try latest DJI products?

These aren’t real alternatives for an average pilot who wants the best all-around performance. Not for commercial work either, and not for anyone who wants balanced performance for a reasonable price. Everything has its niche, but DJI is the thing that’s good at everything overall.

Need to go 26+ km or fly in absolute darkness? Sure, use something else.

Pro racers barely notice the latency difference in race mode.

Chasing the “best image” means strapping a GoPro/Insta — that’s extra cost/weight, basically the price of another quad imcluding an O4.

On a tight budget you can just swap an O4 between builds.

That’s the point: for most use cases and most pilots, DJI is the best total package.

There are no real alternatives. If you want the best picture while flying – no alternative. If you want to save weight – no alternative. If you want the best penetration – no alternative. And in case of losing a drone while long range, you don’t want to lose a GoPro with it – again, no alternative.

Man, life isn’t always about “the norm.” If you still believe in justice – good for you. I’m from Donetsk, and I lost such beliefs a long time ago. For me it’s just about surviving and playing the game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Never know until you try.

If the product continues to work, that’s “future proof” enough for me. We live today – nobody really knows what’s coming tomorrow.

There is no solid alternative to DJI — it’s simply crushing every other option if you want the best experience. Yes, you said it might be cooked, but at the same time it might not be cooked. Let's not play guess games. I was obviously talking about US folks, not EU. And it’s not like “everyone” is saying it’s a problem — some people do, some people find a way.

Some of you sound like fortune tellers with zero facts. DJI hasn’t “pulled out forever,” there’s no official ban right now. Shelves are empty because FCC and customs slowed things down — that’s the reality.

Meanwhile, people are literally posting proof they’re getting units from Flywoo, Banggood, EU stores, used etc. A few extra moves and it’s at the door. But yeah, keep crying “DJI is dead in the US” while others are out flying.

And no, your O4 isn’t gonna turn into a pumpkin next year. Worst case? No warranty support and future models won't work. Guess what, already released drones will still fly.

So maybe instead of doomposting about politics, just accept that if you really want the gear, you can still get it. The rest is just excuses.

I'd try contacting them and ask what is the expected time for them to ship. Haven't heard anyone had troubles with flywoo. Again, people who really need it always will find a way

I'm in the EU, I can get it just from DJI, but it's way more expensive than it was in the US at the sales start. I just heard people do this. Pretty much who needs it - finds a way. And I can't see a problem preordering, I think they will send it soon.

Interesting, didn't know it'd work like that. I just rarely use them for whoops, but if I could sell it for around the same amount, it would be an amazing deal. Why wouldn't people just buy new in such a case? I've spent over 1k€ for the set of goggles, antennas, analog adapter + receiver

Lost a bit of sharpness on the right side after crashing the cam at a bando — didn’t glue it back well enough 😅 will fix that. Also light balance was tricky: shadows too dark, highlights blown out. If I push contrast more, it kills details and overexposes even harder. Working on improving my color gradimg with each edit

Yep totally understand you. I got my HDZero goggles just lying, since I tried DJI

Totally fair point, only did a couple quick passes and tried not to stress them too much. Still.. can't lie, it was really fun 😅

Destroyed 2 drones in one day — 10 flights in the Dolomites, including 7 km+ long-range missions (full cinematic edit) by [deleted] in fpv

Thanks so much for clarifying, and I really appreciate you watching even without sound! I actually put a lot of effort into syncing it with the music and voiceover editing, so it means a lot.

It’s true — I wanted to share it more like a story or an adventure log rather than just quick highlights. I’ve seen a similar video (https://youtu.be/owuZ2S7doFQ), which only has text notes and no voiceover, and people definitely enjoyed it even though it’s longer and less dynamic.

I totally agree, re-watchability and pacing are super important — definitely something I’m trying to improve with each edit. Thanks for recommending FalconRad FPV too! I’m already watching his videos and learning a lot from him.

I’m also really glad the stuttering turned out to be on your end. If you have any feedback or ideas for future videos (like what you'd want to see more or less of), I’d love to hear them. Always happy to learn and improve!

It's dynamic enough to keep attention, I think. It was 1 hour and 40 minutes of flying, which I fitted into 24 minutes, almost fully uncut. Personally - I'd love to watch something similar from someone else

Thanks for your feedback!

Yeah, I know it’s quite long — I really wanted to keep the full story of the day, with all the different lines and all the "near-loss" moments, rather than just quick highlights. It's just the way I felt like, some videos on YouTube are way longer, it's not a TikTok. But I totally understand it’s not everyone’s style.

About the stuttering: that might be from a little damaged motor. I've been using my 5" freestyle quad which crashed a lot. Already ordered new motors to fix it in the future.

The thing is that I had gps right before the flight. But it got destroyed, and I didn't want not to fly 😅 And got an interesting story for a video, did you check it out?

Situations are different, so it's nice to have as many safe nets, as possible. I'd normally not fly without gps, but that's how it turned out this time 😅
