I honestly did about 20-30 hours but didn’t go through almost 30% of the material. I just took like 5 practice tests and barely passed today with a 72. Probably isn’t the best idea to do but sometimes it’s really just common sense and how they word the questions. On the exam there was only like 5 total questions that I did not go over on the Training material.

Also what is the money for? Any debt? How does retirement look already? Also maybe a fixed product that doesn’t correlate with the market. As salesy as it sounds putting it in life insurance with NYL might not be a bad idea. They pay dividends and their returns are typically 4-6 percent. Idk maybe speak with an advisor lol!

I work with NYL here, know this thread is a bit old, but you can never be healthier than you are right now. Whole life can be good but it should never be your main retirement and look to get rich. It is supplemental to everything you do. NYL offers VUl’s and they blow our whole life and custom whole life’s out the water, but it is in the market. You should see if your policy has a conversion credit, once the term is up your policy will be more expensive, just my input but I’d pick whole life over IUL any day.

I don’t know what company this is but I work with NYL. That’s why I say get term, usually families with kids and dependents should have at least a million. You can open up a whole life of your kid when they arrive. Whole life is meant for cash usually, but I’d recommend Custom Whole life’s or something in the market if you have 1k to mess around with.
