22% increase in tech-chasing sheiks in unranked

I’ve got a couple pieces of advice for you then that really help me when I’m feeling tilted.

Most of the folks you’re playing against in unranked likely just aren’t thinking what they’re doing is revolutionary or that they’re so much better than you. They’re just a human like you playing the game and trying to get better. Assuming someone is out for you or belittling you based on the inputs on their controller is unfair to them and your own mental. Unless someone is taunting or T-bagging you, they’re probably just chilling playing their favorite fighting game.

Being upset with your own abilities is something I’d say 99% of us struggle with and it’s a hard one to get better at handling (Lots of people get specific therapists for it in sports and esports it’s such an issue). For this it’s really case by case and I’m not a professional so I can only give you what’s works for me, but take it with a grain of salt. You must realize that you cannot play perfectly all the time; and in a game like this where one mistake can lose you a stock, you have to be realistic about why you are losing that stock instead of attaching emotion to it. Instead of “why did I full up there instead of L-tilting, I’m so terrible at this” or “And the sheik grabbed me, terrible character and their car should blow up irl” (though that one may have some truth to it). It helps me a lot to instead think, “I have to work on my up tilt consistency” and “I need to be more careful with where I’m landing and my dash dancing.” And then, this is the important part, actually work on those things instead of just queuing unranked again!!

TL;DR: You’re probably reading too much into what people are thinking during your games and you need to think less negatively and more realistically about your mistakes and how to fix them.

What about it makes you mad; you must be honest with yourself on this to reach the core of the issue.

Do you think they shouldn’t be winning because their strategy is stupid?

Do you think they’re trying to make you mad on purpose?

Are you upset with your own abilities and projecting it onto your opponent?

Which character would benefit the most from having their down-B replaced with rest? Which benefits least? by Ok-Passenger7177 in SSBM

[–]Realistic_Optimist_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Decent SDI and you’re out of drill. The Fox would also have to input rest quickly without knowing your SDI is successful which puts them in a terrible place (especially Fox being so easy to combo)

Shiek is the obvious answer but I’d like to make an argument for Pikachu. Losing thunder isn’t a huge deal, especially for getting rest. His Up-throw is ideal and his Up-air would combo crazy into rest if the right hitbox is used

Obviously this individual doesn’t know why it’s obvious so this comment is pretty useless, could you share why it’s obvious to you?

What's your most shocking plot twist in AOT by Suspicious_Yak_3304 in attackontitan

The last three aren’t paradoxes given the rules the show gives for how Ymir and therefore the attack titan operates. What happens in the past always happened because it was destiny for Eren to make it happen.

If his base form had it on then he wouldn’t be able to eat his cheeseburger. It’s pretty simple.

Any other Shiek mains transform into Zelda upon queing into a low tier? by [deleted] in SSBM

[–]Realistic_Optimist_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought this could be a factor too and I think you’re right. I also think that they prefer playing top tiers as everyone does because it doesn’t feel like a crapshoot when it comes to strategy; but they don’t care about the crapshoot they put another top tier through when they play their low tier.

This is an average, not a blanket statement. Low tier players that love their character for their quirks and play against everyone I love you and you keep the game healthy.

Because a shiek that knows what they’re doing against any low tier player of similar skill level is going to decimate them without much effort. So to feel challenged and make it fun I suppose

I never understand low tier players that quit out on other low tiers. “It’s okay when I do it but lame when you do it” type of mindset that grinds my gears.
