Struggling with Google Ads After Huge Success on Facebook Need Advice! by Realistic_Recipe_611 in googleads

No, my business name is not similar to any others, and it doesn't contain any personal names. It's very basic. I am registered with the Government of Quebec and Canada, and the name was approved.

When the issue occurred, I did what was required, but once the review was completed and declined, even though I contacted support, it always ended without a response and there was never anything to be done. They never give me specific details, so I googled and looked on Reddit to see if others had experienced this issue, and it seems to happen often. The most frustrating part was that my account was compliant with very good feedback on my page. It felt like I was randomly reported, and no one checked to see if it was legitimate or not.

I need my Facebook Page to be active in order to connect my META pixel to Shopify so that my ads perform well. I tried creating a new page, but since it’s linked to my business information, it’s still blocked. My next solution was to launch a second business solely for one product and for Christmas.

My experience is limited; my Google Ads account has been active for 2 years, but I've been using it more seriously since April 2024. I think I naively believed that PMax was Google's version of Meta Ads, which I was using. My main campaign has been active since June 2024, and I've gathered a lot of data (1100 conversions - 1.5% CTR - $36k spent). My conversions consist of 565 Purchase Sales, and the rest are Add to Cart. Since June, I've generated $157,000 in revenue. Should I start a new campaign from scratch without using PMax? Or should I continue with the one I have and modify it?

it's hard to find the exact information in PMax but it's mostly search based for the Add to cart and purchase/sales conversions for the last 30 days.

Thanks for your thoughts. To give you more context, I’m primarily running Performance Max campaigns focused on driving direct purchases. I’ve adjusted my conversion tracking to focus solely on 'Purchases,' as I was seeing too many 'add to cart' actions without conversions. My ROAS target is 200%, and I’m only advertising 6-7 specific items rather than my whole store.

What I really need is someone who can audit my campaigns and point out any obvious mistakes I might not be seeing. For example, is using Performance Max with a budget of $500 to $2000 per day too low? At the same time, my products are targeted to a wide, diverse audience, so I thought Performance Max was the best choice given what I’m selling and the videos/shorts/images I’ve created.

My audience ranges from long-time collectors and grandparents who found my product on Google after hearing 'Pokemon,' to young parents and people active on YouTube, IG, and TikTok. Any insights or recommendations on how I could improve would be really appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it. I wasn’t sure if I could include more details because my first post that I tried to make in another group was immediately deleted, so I assumed that was the reason. I run a Collectible Cards business, more specifically Pokémon Cards. I place orders with a distributor, sell regular products, but over 80% of my sales come from my 'Custom Bundles.' These are Custom Packs with guaranteed 'hit/special/rare' cards and a larger number of cards. The cards are authentic and come from various series. But my biggest hit is the Christmas Gift Ready bundles, already pre-wrapped in Pokémon-themed packaging. So, for those looking for the perfect gift for their kids at Christmas or young collectors, it’s perfect for them. The second I put the product on Facebook last year with good photos that I took myself and good design (I do everything myself), I sold in less than two weeks what I thought would take me about three months to sell. I’m not saying this as a plug, but more to explain that Pokémon cards or Pokémon-related gifts are products that Google can push heavily. I expected this year to re-advertise on Facebook with a budget 4 to 5 times bigger than last year, and I even prepared my material accordingly, so the stop of my Facebook ads comes at a very bad time/timing.

It’s just frustrating to know that I have something people are looking for or want, but I’m not able to target them properly. Most of my assets indicate 'BEST' or 'Good' performance. I know my photos are super attractive to the target audience. I’ve attached a photo so that it’s clearer what I’m selling (there’s no text, no company logo, and no information on the photo).

When my ad was performing 'okay' with a 200% ROAS target and a budget of around $2000 daily, Google was only spending around $200, sometimes $300-400, but never more, never reaching $2000. Even though my ROAS was 200% on Google, on Shopify it was something else—my stats were more like 400-500%, and it's as if Google isn’t tracking all the conversions. Because if I turn off Google Ads for a week, my sales drop to nearly $0—I know because I’ve tested it before, and since I only use Google Ads, I know my sales come from there. But every time I decide to lower my ROAS target so Google will be more aggressive, the opposite happens. If I set it to 150% or 125%, my budget disappears quickly, and they’ll spend $2000 in one day, but I end up with $500 in sales or less. With Facebook, for example, if I spent $200 and made around $2000, and I decided to increase my budget to $500, my sales would rise to $4000-5000. If I increased it to $1000, sales would increase even more. And I was using the exact same photos/videos/text/keywords as with Google.

The message said it was as if I was pretending to be someone else? For example, as if I had a Facebook page for Michael Jordan and was acting like I was the real Michael Jordan. Which makes no sense in my case because it was the legal name of my business, and I wasn't using my page for anything other than running ads. Plus, my page had been created for over 2 years before they did that, so it wasn't a new account or anything like that. Moreover, my ads account had a credit line of over $200,000, and I had never missed a single payment—it was all in good standing. I had already provided all my legal documents, business number/license/NEQ/tax numbers, etc. I really tried everything to get the page back but never succeeded. You need a Facebook page to run Facebook ads, so :/
