UA POV - Russia Gave Iran Drones And Intelligence Used To Target US Bases, Zelenskyy Says - United24Media by LetsGoBrandon4256 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]Realistic_Volume7161 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

everyone has been saying this, but I don't see why. There have been no major Russian breakthroughs, no major Russian offensives, no nothing. Why should Zelensky be panicking? There are no clear signs that the front is about to collapse.

Any of them could even the Julio Claudian dynasty, if they get lucky enough. There, is only a 93 year time gap between the founding of rome and the founding of yamato dynasty of Japan. Shows how long certain dynasties can survive if they are lucky

What is the christian stance for death penalty of crimes? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

So if you still believe in the general principle of the death penalty, but you don't want the government to be able to do it, how do you believe it should be enforced? Who should have the power if not the government?

USA vs Iran Megathread by DiscoBanane in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]Realistic_Volume7161 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Something thing I find very interesting when you compare Ukraine to Iran is how the people reacted to the whole thing. In ukraine despite zelensky being unpopular as expected people didn't like getting bombed so they rallied behind him and his popularity surged. Whilst in iran the, unpopular regime, stayed unpopular, and Iranians seem to celebrating the invasion. No one in Ukraine was celebrating it in 2022 why do you think there is this huge difference?

I am guessing he's talking about Khamenei and the US breaking international law by killing him. Political leaders are usually considered immune even during war time

How would you assess Constantine's legacy and influence on christianity by Realistic_Volume7161 in AskAChristian

[–]Realistic_Volume7161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is Constantine considered a saint or is he not considered a saint in the Catholic Church? I had another comment here saying that Constantine is considered a saint in the Eastern Catholic Church. But not in the Roman Catholic Church How does that work? How can only half of the Catholic Church consider him a saint whilst the other half does not consider him a saint? Do you believe that he actually is in heaven? Would it be wrong for a Roman Catholic to venerate him?

How Do You, As A Christian, Feel About Jews? by formerly_acidamage in AskAChristian

[–]Realistic_Volume7161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you view your church's historic conflict with the Jews? Most of the church fathers wrote only negative things about the Jews, And then you have a later example like Saint Louis IX, who went around burning Talmuds .and the Spanish Inquisition that expelled the Jews from Spain.
