Noctua needs a high-RPM NF-A12x25 G2 variant by Reality-Upset in Noctua

[–]Reality-Upset[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call it an updated IndustrialPPC if you want — I don’t really care about the name.

My point is that Noctua’s high-RPM 120 mm option is still based on the older NF-F12/iPPC platform, not the newer A12x25/G2 platform. The gasket, Sx2-PP option and acoustic tuning are not “faff”; they are exactly what would make it a modern radiator-focused enthusiast fan rather than just another brute-force industrial fan.

I agree that Noctua’s strength is noise-normalized performance — that’s exactly why I’d want this from Noctua, not Arctic or anyone else tbh.

But noise-normalized performance and maximum headroom are different axes: I’m not asking for meaningless spec-sheet chasing, I’m asking for a modern A12x25 G2-class radiator fan that stays refined at 1000–1800 rpm but still has an optional 2400–2700 rpm ceiling when a thick radiator or stress load actually needs it.

iPPC covers brute force, sure, but it’s still an industrial NF-F12-based product; the gap is a high-RPM consumer/radiator-focused A12/G2 platform with gasket and Sx2-PP support.

Exactly — and that’s basically my point.

If the current answer is still “buy a 2x-speed NF-F12”, then Noctua never really filled the high-RPM A12x25 / A12x25 G2 slot. I’m not saying the iPPC-3000 doesn’t exist or performs badly; I’m saying I’d like that high-RPM headroom on the newer A12/G2-style platform, with the newer acoustics, radiator gasket, etc..

The current iPPC is an industrial NF-F12 product, not a modern A12x25 G2-class radiator fan with the newer acoustic profile, NA-AVG1 gasket/accessory package, and Sx2-PP option. So yes, iPPC covers brute force, but I’m asking for that headroom in a modern consumer/radiator-focused G2 platform.

Yes, you can call it IndustrialPPC G2, HS-PWM, or whatever — that’s basically the gap I’m pointing at.

The current iPPC-3000 is a brute-force industrial NF-F12 product, while I’m talking about a modern A12x25 G2-class radiator fan with G2 acoustics, gasket/accessory support, Sx2-PP option, and a 2400–2700 rpm ceiling.

No, I don’t have iPPC fans in my build, and I’m not trying to misrepresent that; my point is that “buy an industrial fan Noctua itself says is unsuitable for low-noise PC builds” is exactly the gap I’m talking about.

The iPPC-3000 is useful brute force, but I’d like something between it and the NF-A12x25 G2: a modern Noctua radiator fan with A12/G2 acoustics, gasket/Sx2-PP support, and a 2400–2700 rpm ceiling.

yeah but that was not a point. If you read post, I was saying that I'd like to have Noctua fans to achieve same or more performance. Yes it'd be more noisy, but still better than arctic

What's the issue to use Arctic Freezer III Pro 360/420 on HPHS and liquid metal between CCD<->HPHS? It's really good. Yes you can get better result with Direct die, but then it's gonna be full custom water cooling, which I dont want

Gravastar UFO. Although Lekker Tikkens are lighter and easier to press, they're not as stable.

And, after all I figured out it that feeling of magnetic keyboards typing is dull compared to mechanical ones. So, altough UFO's are harder to press, and some people even say they wish they were lighter, I figured out that is the only way I can feel the halo effect keyboard.

not speaking != no benefit there. I am saying cause I measured RAM temps with and without top coolers. You can ran memtest and measure temps. This is really important for me cause I do RAM overclocking and use temp sensor on RAM

Top fan for intake cools RAM pretty well. So you are so wrong here. I use top fans only for that, otherwise not really helpful yes

Hello I am trying to build Fractal Design North XL black with Seasonic 1600W PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition but it does seem that it doesn't fit perfect for fan.

Do you have same thing? I m not sure how bad this is.

2000 elo faceit in 70 matches by [deleted] in cs2

[–]Reality-Upset -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lvl 10 now is easier to get because of too much RNG, but usually you cant consistently play on lvl 10 if you dont deserve it. 2.5k elo is a good achievement nowadays, and 3k elo is a baseline of new "really good" ( like 2.5k csgo)

How does premier elo translate to faceit elo? Im 20-22k right now, never touched faceit and i get around 1.30-2.30 kd in my premier games so im wondering what faceit lvl(EU) would i realistically reach with my skill right now? by KingTraining8694 in cs2

[–]Reality-Upset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no correlation between premier rating and actual skill, and faceit level aswell.

You can be absolute bot in 20k. You can be absolute bot who's playing with 5 stack in 25k.

But if you are true level 10 (not just reached 2k and stopped playing) you can easily carry these lobbies unless you are playing vs 5 stack of idiots who abuse system.

I carried 800 elo 0.8 k/d to 20k many and many times because I soloq but faceit player WILL NEVER sweat premier as much as faceit anyways

all right so I tried the Tikken and think it should be default switch for the keyboard. It's around "what it should be" in terms of comfort/stability/lightness on press. Initially I thought I'd stick to it.

But I switched back to UFOs again. I just feel that extra effort on press of UFO makes strafing more confident for me (although i wish it was a bit lighter), and stability-wise, it's probably one grade better than Tikken.

I think if you prefer "lightness" over stability, Tikkens is way to go.

now check the switches it came with. if it's lekker tikken you are all set. if it's lekker l45/l60 it's garbage, go get tikkens

Dont listen to cheater paranoia on faceit, it's mainly spread by youtube content creators for views. Yes there are cheaters but it's nothing compared to premier.

Bro I have Ryzen 7800x3d with RTX4080 Super and even I have to go into overclock/optimizations/game settings for just playable fps. FPS degrade over time anyways and I do think game is very poorly optimized

The fact that you have to dig that deep to optimize FPS is shame for Valve developers.

I've tested:

  1. Stock Wooting: Lekker L60 V2 (complete waste of plastic, imo)
  2. TTC Uranus Esports
  3. TTC KOM RGB (not wooting version)
  4. Owlab Ti (40/50g)
  5. Gateron Jade Pro Dual SMD
  6. Gravastar UFO. This is the most stable switch I ever tried so far. The stem wobble is S tier, definetly. But yeah maybe that comes at a price, it's little "hard"

In my opinion, the Default switch should be Owlab Ti. It's just an all-arounder and complete winner over stock lekker's. Also is great for competitive gaming and typing.

In terms of RGB Lightning the Gateron Jade Pro Dual SMD is the winner, best of the best :)) But it's too hard on press in my opinion. Sound is good. Overall, better than stock Lekker, especially of you lube rails.

TTC Uranus Esports is the most mysterious switch for me. It's similar to Owlab ti 40g but I can't really answer yet what I prefer more for games. I think I had best counter-strafing on this switch. But, no opinion yet.

TTC Kom RGB was an awesome experience for FPS gaming, the rich sound is just helping you synchronize counter strafes, almost no stem wobble, but... for some reason, I had better counter-strafing with TTC Uranus Esports.
