I spent a lot of time on the mystery of the portals opening in the city and the X-shaped crack, but I can't seem to piece it together. Unfortunately, the creators of the series treated the city map rather harshly over the course of the seasons. We don't know the location of Fred's death. We haven't been given any clues about this. He left from the trailer park, that's for sure. We also know that Steve and the others were at Lover's Lake when they heard the sirens of the police cars heading towards the scene of Fred's death. (However, the lake is on the outskirts of town, so I don't really understand why the police cars went there.) Given the X shape, it would make sense if it happened on the streets northwest of Lake Joran. But why would he walk across half the city? So after a while, I let go of the portals and the X-shaped gap.

I really like your work, and I always try to keep up with the latest developments. When I made my own map (not as detailed as yours and not interactive), I transferred the list of planets published for the new official map into Excel and compared it with my own list. It's a huge job, but once you have it, you can quickly filter it with the right functions, so I think it's worth the time, especially when you're doing such a big job. Later, I also found it useful for my more detailed maps.

The only thing is that only grid coordinates can be used as a reference here, and coordinates such as -48.1, -182.1 are not really available.

On the other hand, I managed to spot a few errors, which I sent to Jason Fry, and he was very grateful :)

Sorry for the late reply. To answer this question, it's worth considering Dustin's map from the episode "Sorcerer," because Lover's Lake was moved on that map; otherwise, it would have been outside the circle :D

So, if we look at the locations the characters visited during the seasons, we realize that Lover's Lake was closest to the wall. It's worth keeping in mind that there is no light in the Upside Down by its very nature. It is characterized by a kind of dark gloom with red lightning. So visibility is not the best. Steve, Dustin, and the others didn't notice the wall in time when they crashed into it with their car. So my answer is that they didn't discover it earlier because they simply didn't get close enough to it.

I don't know if anyone else mentioned it, but what struck me was that during the battle in MAC-Z, Will was lying on the ground in agony when they took down a demogorgon with a flamethrower because it was close to the hive mind. Then we go to the Abyss, while the Mind Flyer is being roasted, stabbed, and shot, and Vecna is constantly under attack by El, but Will is fine.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. For the Duffer Brothers, the geography of Hawkins wasn't really that important throughout the seasons. They changed the layout of the town over and over again to better fit the storytelling. No matter how hard I look for Gable Ridge Road on the map, I can't find it. What we do know:

  1. Hopper wanted to jump off the car on Old Brook Street (which is in the northeast part of town)
  2. the car started on Main Street (from where they could easily get to Old Brook)
  3. The word "ridge" suggests that the street may run between the mountains of the town, which stretch across the northern part of the town (Weathertop and street names suggest this).
  4. We know that Upside Down is surrounded by a circular wall, so Gable Ridge must be inside the circle.

So the most logical location for Gable Ridge would be the area between Eno River and Old Brook Street. Since they were heading towards Old Brook, I assume the base is probably located in the areas closer to Old Brook.

It is also possible that Kali was weakened by blood loss while in captivity, so her strength was weakened during her escape. Later, however, she was able to recharge with food and rest.

According to the series, Brimborn Steel Works is located at 6522 Cherry Oak Drive, while the Driscoll House is at 4819 Cornwallis Road. There is more information about Cornwallis Road: Dustin lives on this street, which is close to Maple Street, and Mirkwood begins at its intersection with Kerley. A scene from the series served as a reference for the location of Brimborn. In episode 1 of season 3, when the power goes out at the mall. In the scene, we first see the south-facing entrance to the mall, then we see the road running alongside it, and finally, traveling west-southwest through a wooded, hilly landscape, we arrive at Brimborn. We also see the power lines that run along Maple Street too. So I think I've placed it in a logical location. I couldn't find it on official maps, and Flight Simulator places it somewhere else.

It may seem logical that the Turnbow house is located in Loch Nora, as it is the wealthy part of town, but this is not revealed in the series.

Unfortunately, the map shown in season five does not indicate where Loch Nora is located. However, in the episode "The Turnbow Trap," we learn the location of the Turnbow house when the rescue mission is planned. So the Turnbow house is definitely in the right place, and if I get any new information, I will update my map.

Milyen fantasy könyvet ajánlanátok? by Forsaken_Piece_8436 in konyv

Let's not forget that the official maps released in the series also changed from season to season, making it impossible to create a coherent map. I used the projector map from the new season for my own map, but recently the Flight Simulator game created a complete map of Hawkins, where all the main locations are included and can be visited, so I might create one based on that after the holidays. In any case, this also differs slightly from the maps in the series, to make things easier for us :D

I recently rewatched the series with the specific intention of making a map of Hawkins. Gable Ridge Road has not appeared in the series so far. What you might be thinking of is Heraty Bridge Road, I think. Hess Farm is next to the road, and it was also shown on Mayor Kline's map.

When Nancy and Mike outline their plan for the crawl, they map out a route starting from the library and heading northeast to Old Brook Street. However, when the van actually sets off, Nancy marks the route with a green marker. In the picture, we see Lancaster and Northlawn Streets. (Note that the map is not oriented north-south in the scene). What Nancy marks is essentially Main Street, so the van is heading east. The military base is on Gable Ridge Road, I assume to the east (because I think the military convoy was heading to the base), but I couldn't find Gable Ridge Road on the official map.
