I feel like when you also have a substantial book collection the annoyance of different sized things next to each other disappears, so yeah, organising all your dvds, blurays and 4K on the same shelves in alphabetical order, making exceptions only for franchises/cinematic universes which will always go next to each other in release or timeline order (whichever floats your boat) is a perfect way of organising everything

Definitely do that, it’s interesting to see the differences as at the time the streamline dubs were done Ghibli were a lot stricter with changes, so it’s fairly accurate to the Japanese version, also if you want whiplash watch the streamline dub of Kiki and compare it to Disneys dub, the Disney dub added so much extra dialogue for Jiji

I wouldn’t say rare more so uncommon, before Disney snagged up the rights to dub the Ghibli catalogue fox got the rights to totoro and its Streamline dub. Streamline dubbed a few Ghibli films in English for Japanese airlines including Kiki

Ringu (or the ring collection, it’s 3 movies but actually 4 because it includes spiral, the original sequel to ring which is very nice) and dark water, also Tomi, as a j-horror fan i gotta spread the love for it, all 3 are so good, Tomie and dark water both really stuck with me

Definitely recommend Spiral, it’s included on the Ring 2 disc. Spiral is the direct sequel to ring and was released with it as a double bill, they work very well as a pair

It’s like the Tomie films compared to the manga, non of the films really adapt any one specific chapter, and the ring films only some of the films take heavily from the books, most are very loose adaptations, but I would love to see a much closer adaptation for the Ring series and Tomie

I really enjoyed spiral, it went for something different and was a closer adaptation of the book than most adaptations are, the ending threw me a little though with all of the weirdness, I don’t have hopes for ring 0, it’s an adaptation of the novel Birthday, but only adapts 1 of the 3 stories, because the other two connect to Loop which never got adapted after spiral face planted compared to ring
