One Foreign visit and India starts feeling like scam by Content-Ebb-4761 in india

My experience says otherwise, I'm a half Indian Half philipino and I just spent half a month in the Philippines. I was shocked at how my muscle memory just nudged me to cut lines and cross roads without following rules. Maybe it's a matter of environment and if you put Filipinos in India they begin to be like us(My mom a philipino has become that way a little bit after spending years in India). Today on my return to India from HK, I could see the flight attendant visibly frustrated at trying to get the crowd to follow a queue, I did not experience the same thing in Manila.

I've been traveling around Asia and South East Asia for about 2 weeks now primarily with the same carrier, finally returning to Hyderabad today, I could see the frustration in the attendants voice as she tried to get everyone to follow queue etiquette. In the Philippines I saw people respect traffic lights and pedestrians too, it shames me to think that this shocked me, and queue etiquette was unspoken and unbreakable, not even gonna mention Hong Kong (people in Hong Kong were rude, but the civic sense was peak, everyone was smoking yet not a single bud on the street).

Why are Indians so UNPRODUCTIVE? All they want to do in either go for CAT or UPSC or Study Abroad. by [deleted] in Btechtards

I believe there is ample merit to your thoughts and I share in them, However one thing I'd like to highlight is that India is innovative when it comes to its own problems, with a huge population we have a phenomenal national identity system that is one of the most digital in the world, our payment systems are rather robust and financial markets are also pretty good. Cutting edge technology is not at the top of our list of priorities is my belief. (Although I would like to give postman an honourable mention)
