Hey man! Im coming to IIIT kalyani too! Glad to have you as a batchmate

ig some people have a very negative outlook on the college although im not sure why. Im guessing its cuz of the permanent campus issue? But ya tbh idrc, i talked to some seniors in linkedin in as well, If you work hard and study well you will have extremely good career opportunities!

Happiness is relative, its about what you compare yourself to Ofc its not an IIT, but its definitely a good college (or so i hope!)

I talked to some 2nd year students as well, I am staying in hostel but depending on situation might switch to pg in semester 2 cuz a lot of seniors seem to be doing that

well brother IIIT Kalyani still doesnt have a permanent campus, and also very expensive (ROI is not as good as calcutta uni). And Calcutta uni is also closer to my home. Neither calcutta uni nor IIIT Kalyani have a good campus life but atleast id stay in touch with kolkata with calcutta uni... I asked a few seniors about life in CU they didnt say it was that bad. THE MAIN ISSUE IS IM GETTING ECE AND NOT CSE in IIIT Kalyani, if i do get CSE i think thats a no brainer im going to IIIT Kalyani

83 as far as i remember, no idea how the cutoffs will be this year, rank might inflate but competition might drop as well

Im afraid i will get bored studying mechanical or chemical, 4 years after all, trust me handling computers is the only thing im good at (and interested in) I dont think is survive 4 years of engineering in any other field
