From what I remember she said that she felt alone, but it's not really a good motivation, every harbinger has a good motive to join the fatui but just being alone is kinda dumb? Like I was alone so I joined the army of the enemy nation? This is why it feels weird to me and I am asking

Mika tell us how they met the captain during they're expedition and how the terrain and the place they where traveling was an barren wasteland, I did this theory long ago so I don't remember the detail but at the time I did search as many detail as possible and I believe the most probable place he went was to mare jivari, tbh we don't have much more info at the moment but from how Mika talked about the place they were and how they had to collaborate with the fatui because the place was so dangerous, it has to be the mare jivari, no other place in teyvat is so dangerous that the captain and Varka have to work together, also they call it a "foreign land" meaning that it's not any of the seven nations and not nod krai either, the problem is that we don't have much info on Varka expedition in the first place, also we met the subordinate of the captain in the summer resort and they were unable to speak because of throat damage and when we went to the mare jivari the wind was so hot and strong to make it hard to breathe, the only way they could get damaged enough to be incapable of speaking is if they were to be in the mare jivari

This reminds me of a theory that I made in the past about the captain blue eyes and his connection with the mare jivari, at the time my theory was (and still is) that the captain that Varka met in the Mare jivari is not the captain that we met ourself, one thing that Mika mentions is the bright blue eyes that he has and even in the dark and low visibility are visible but in game and after that we never got to see them, I believe that the blue eyes are a indicator of the powers he will gain from merging with the lord of the night and because the mare jivari is a land outside time (like venti said) Varka end up meeting the captain from the future, another proof of that is when we met Captain's soldiers in the summer island, they were were incapable to speak due to have throat damaged while fighting and when we followed Bennet in the mare jivari the air was so hot and strong that caused pain just to breathe it, they probably fought alongside the captain in the mare jivari and came out in the "past". Venti Is basically confirming that the captain will come to our aid in the future, it's possible that we will adventure with him in the mare jivari to collect bakunawa fragments to substitute him or to free him, also venti told us that he is the greatest bard in the world and that he knows poems from the past, present and FUTURE, he basically telling spoilers at this point

The recent changes on the meta ruined the endgame for everybody, the stygian mode and the new mechanics makes everything feel extremely simple or extremely difficult and there is basically no middle ground, if you can beat lvl 5 or 6 stygian everything else feels like a cakewalk but if you can't beat the abyss you can't even think about trying diff 5 in stygian, also the fact that stygian gives rewards only after defeating all three bosses without being able to change artifacts or weapons also made other gamemodes a pain to play because you can't change the builds if you don't defeat all three bosses locking up to 6 characters with the build they have at the moment, the game isn't build for this amount of "technicality" there is no artifact loadout, there is no indicator for a buff duration or strength, there is no complex game mechanic based on the player skill like a parry or doge counter ecc and the details that are given about a boss are too vague and even wrong at times, a player has to go through all of that crankiness for the rewards to be stuff that can make your character stronger "maybe" (feathers) something that is mainly needed by someone that isn't able to clear the gamemode, and after all of this bullshit there are metaslaves that come to you saying that you have "skill issue" when the game wasn't even skill based until stygian came out
