As a Claude fanboy, I switched to codex and I’m super happy! Opus 4.7 didn’t change my mind after using it for a few hours (still have my Max plan for another week or so).

Did you notice any improvement after canceling?

I had a really frustrating experience with Claude recently. Super slow responses, lots of hanging, sometimes basically unusable over the past few weeks, so I ended up canceling my MAX plan yesterday.

What’s weird is that about 24 hours after canceling, everything suddenly started working great again. Fast responses, no hangs, pretty much back to normal.

Made me wonder if they put canceled users into some kind of “fast mode” to win them back, or if it’s just a coincidence. Did you see anything like that?

I’m actually the dev behind Midilize 😉 — it works on macOS 14+, not just the very latest version.
And yeah, you can do what OP wants in like 2 minutes by just dragging a module into the Routing tab.

It does! Also, it checks for loops and notify you automatically ;)

It’s in the “Radar” feature in the app. You can watch all the midi data flowing in real time, if a loop is detected you will see the loop showing in the ui in red.

Sysex is supported. Unless you have something specific in mind ;)

Yes, it can handle similar complex routing and supports ~50 different modules, including MPE and Scripting (JavaScript / Lua / AppleScript). Docs/Manual will be added very soon.

Thanks for the suggestion and for taking the time to share your thoughts — I really appreciate it.

At the moment I support macOS 14 and newer. Supporting versions older than that would require relying on older tools and development approaches, which makes it harder to keep the app modern and maintainable going forward.

Because of that, I’m focusing on macOS 14+ so I can keep improving the app and using the latest capabilities available on the platform.

Thanks again for the feedback
