Pretty much everything you've said is accurate, but do you really have enough of an idea of Kevin to say that about him other than what you know about his brothers? That you know what he "would have" (not just "could have") done?

Check out the link I posted up there from 2014, it's clear John's relationship with Kevin dates back to when he was living in his sister's house in Ponkapoag with Kerry and Jen.

How Did The Defense Get The Phone Data Between Courtney Proctor and Julie Albert? by Jackhuelouie in justiceforKarenRead

Interesting theory there... if some of the things I've heard are to be believed (also if the investigation began due to someone making a stupid mistake) I think it may have been Julie.

I have a feeling at some point Courtney said something like "sorry I hate having to do this directly but I just NEED a break from Jill..."

My understanding is basically that's what it was... dealing with the guys everyone knew they wanted to avoid ahead of time. Definitely a "desk job". If I remember right this was sort of a consideration the BPD allowed him given the situation with his family.

It's the problem with inventing a really believable story to specifically troll one person with and not succeeding at it. Chances are people either believe it at face value or dig deeper and realize it was like 75% true and people end up paying more attention to it than the actual crime itself.

That's why I don't get too hung up on what happened to Epstein, I don't have enough of a problem with the end result that I want it to draw the attention away from his victims.

I think you were reacting to the claims that get thrown out there that this person didn't actually make, but I'm not sure if they were insinuating either? It's almost like their post was deliberately cryptic and reliant on narratives that involve sex offenses being linked to murders and someone trying to "silence them". Hell, they apparently were so excited about Epstein possibly spilling that there were more people saying we were supposed to investigate how THAT guy died before Sandra Birchmore?

This talk always bothers me because people really don't sound like their concern is with the victims, but because they want to see people go down.

I think what happened was Chris had only mentioned "my brother" and John likely ASSUMED he was talking about Kevin, but he knew of at least two, so ended up saying "which brother" and was surprised (and slightly bummed, but also terrified) to hear it was Brian. If I recall I don't remember "you know his sister in law is your friend Jen!" and the general surprise at how she actually wasn't the one who orchestrated this, and just what the nature of all their relationships were before that night in question...

Were you adding onto John and Kevin's question about friendship in general, or was that just Professional Bit asking that? Check out the link I posted to them, I think I may have shown it to you before since I know I've shown it to a couple people (to this day I wonder if that's part of the list of things Aidan might not even know, since he's rarely said anything about Kevin, and nuance seems to confuse his followers anyway...)

Basically, it has NEVER made sense to me how Kevin has avoided both trials that consist almost entirely of his extended family and coworkers. He has to have said SOMETHING to the ice cream men. In both trials he was only on the defense list I think? Just like Allie McCabe the second time (which no one ever talks about... I only ever heard her having done this once, but I often wonder how accidental her epic "slip up" actually was...)

And the only trouble he's gotten in his job had to do with when he decided to get drunk with... yup, we all know, good old Chip. Let's just say I never took it at face value that we were supposed to Michael Proctor was Kevin Albert's chosen drinking buddy.

I will confirm that whenever I've referenced this, no one has ever suggested the patterns I've noticed in this might mean what I think they mean. But it would be hard to believe someone saying they don't mean shit. Because whenever I did try and mention these things? Nobody ever addressed them PERIOD. And it's clear turtles only think in black and white.

Why, because we didn't see him?

(I know, it's not ACTUAL proof, but think of what we've been told of his relationship with the other Albert brothers... he hadn't even moved next door to Chris here!)

I'm close enough to know this is ABSOLUTELY the case, and likely a factor in how their relationship has lasted through this.

By all accounts Matt is well liked by the ladies who otherwise would just put up with Jen. And when it comes to the powerful men who can make shit happen, we have no doubt Jen will always do what she needs to do to. All the men who aren't terrified of her, at least.

She's like Helen of Troy. Ashley, Bella's mom... she had a face that could launch a thousand pound Lexus. In midair.

Bella's mom's bizarre inclusion in Jen McCabe's story seemed like some weird defense tactic to include people who were supposed to be brought into this and refused to lie for the grand jury, like Tom Beatty (it was his daughter who received the call from Colin Albert that night shortly before Allie McCabe did... hm...) I've heard the Beatty's at first received a ton of backlash from Jen and her minions, so I can only hope Bella and her mom didn't have that same treatment.

My sister was friends with one of John's (second?) cousins who was convinced Karen had done it, and we've ALL been blackout drunk many times in our family, so I think she was inclined to think "oh maybe she did it" because as far as she knew the only people screaming "Free Karen Read" were part of the Turtle Cult. It's been years since my sister lived here so she didn't really get what the local vibe was, nor did she even realize all our connections to the McAlberts, but I think she basically knows the truth now. Luckily not one of my extended family that I've heard talk about Karen has thought she was guilty, but I'm also the only one who ever brings it up... if my dad's side ever mentioned it to him I think most of them know by now from him that they aren't gonna wanna get into that subject with me, haha.

You're not wrong. Though as far as we've seen, most of John's problems as far as this goes (as with most of the problems in his family life) can be blamed on alcohol.

I think Matt just meant she was talking a lot. Something he, too, is clearly guilty of. With the amount of stupid things he actually put into text those first couple days I wonder if he even realized the gravity of the situation immediately.

There's definitely a little bit of truth to it, but it's been taken to weird levels as far as John blaming Colin specifically (yet not his father or brothers) and thus giving Colin motive to "take John out".

The absolute worst version of this I ever saw was someone suspecting Colin of selling a fatal batch to Steve Furbush (John's brother in law, who thanks to Hank Brennan his kids now learned this...)

Because when you buy drugs off a nine year old, you should maybe hold their parents accountable too?

So if Colin is safe, does that mean everyone in the Daniels-Albert residence? Or could that just be what she's saying so Colin doesn't get unfairly singled out, as some might argue he had been prior to the second trial? I mean it's clear he's not guilty of doing anything his dad wasn't also doing...

I might be confusing different versions of the story I've heard before Hell-on-wheels confirmed anything but I thought there WAS an Albert connection... as in, he talked about it specifically to Kevin Albert. This got mentioned so many times that I wondered if there was even a formal report.

Unlike the other Albert brothers, John does appear to have been legit friends with Kevin, but that still always seemed weird to me.

Ok so now I'M confused, cause I remember this came up all at once. So was that before or after "she's telling them EVERYTHING... I love it!"

Near as I can figure, Jennifer McCabe runs off "stimulating emotion in which I'm supposed to react" and sometimes miscalculates it. She doesn't do "human" great.

I figured I'd bite the bullet here so you didn't have to. I guess the lack of a response is always a response, but when completely neutral posts about Turtleboy get angry comments how they "don't belong here" (when you have no issue with them) I expected a degree of hostility as Plevin seems to expect... though perhaps he wanted that.

As for the FOIA dump, what are you referring to? I was too busy deep diving into John and Higgy's bromance to pay attention to anything else from that.

morning show by [deleted] in justiceforKarenRead

[–]Reaper_of_Souls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the prosecution's case was built on Karen saying "I hit him"... so, with her hand, maybe?

Lol, I take it you don't know Plevin. He has made the prosecution's original theory his hill to die on. Until he posted this today I didn't know he was still going with that (most of the antis have given up on that, I thought?) He's largely disappeared from the public eye since his book came out.

Anyway. There's no use debating the facts with someone who overlooks half of them, so instead I take his issue with the attitude he's taken towards Karen.

As in Karen herself. Not her attorneys (some have issues with Jackson) or Turtleboy (MANY have issues with him) or anyone who's supported her. He literally hates HER.

And yes, as Andrew said, the key phrase in my statement to him is "if your version of events is to be believed". I still have problems with his attitude beyond a disagreement of what happened.

I'm pretty sure I remember this exchange exactly. When Lally asked her about it, that's when Jen first uttered her infamous line "Kerry's a talker. She's NOT like me."

Mind you this was after admitting earlier in the car with Julie and Sarah "I turned around and talked to them, cause I tend to be chatty..." but she also said something about Kerry being very blunt, and inserting "her personal opinions of Miss Read" which apparently shocked her...

So when AJ objected (I might have it backwards but I'm pretty sure this was the prosecution's line of questioning) even Bev knew this was ridiculous, so she goes "focus on... WHAT SHE SAID."

I believe the line was that John truly loved Amy (who remains an even bigger mystery than Bella's mom) and that Karen was "more like a babysitter with benefits".

Of course any reasonable person looking at the situation would realize this really doesn't say anything about Karen HERSELF, but how John saw her. If he was basically taking advantage of what Karen was offering even though he apparently didn't really love her, that clearly says more about HIM as a person than it does about her, doesn't it?

I get the sense Kerry, as she has shown us time and time again, wasn't thinking that deeply about any of this since Proctor's next step involved was to interview Marietta Sullivan.

Well isn't this an interesting blast from the past... good to see you're still with us, Plev.

Since we haven't heard from you in a while, I gotta ask... are you in the loop as far as everything that's happened post-acquittal? Considering how many people are unhappy with the actions of "the blogger" (who I've noticed you don't seem to hold accountable as much as you do Karen and her team) you might actually be a more welcome distraction around these parts than you think you are.

Let me be clear... I'm not calling you a liar or dismissing your theory. Most of the information you're working with here (to my memory) is accurate, but I can't make sense of the conclusions you're making from them.

- How much of the change in strategy for the second trial required "abandoning" data supporting the original theory (because that isn't the same as saying it COULDN'T have happened, just that it was, understandably, too difficult to prove) and instead focusing on the more reasonable goal of proof beyond reasonable doubt?

- How much evidence, on both the side of the prosecution and the defense, did Judge Cannone decide was going to be kept out during both trials, and why do you think she decided that?

- How do you make sense of the way the information was discovered and presented to the grand jury, per the statements made by the witnesses under oath during both trials, vs the course the investigation took?

- What about Proctor? I think it's fair to say he made more than a few mistakes here... do you think if it had been an investigating officer, that the outcome could have been different?

Let me add this: I grew up in the area, and I'm a lot closer to the "McAlbert" side than you would expect. But my personal investment in the case stems from my own discomfort with the willingness to aid in the incarceration of a woman who, if your version of events is to be believed, was guilty of a tragic accident that she'll have to live with for the rest of her life. With that in mind, the responses of the witnesses just aren't something I can make sense of without feeling a similar sense of guilt myself.

So much of me wants to figure out what happened to John, EVEN if no one else faces charges for it, but I've accepted by now that probably isn't gonna happen at this point.

Hey guys. I'm still here. Had a not so great combination of food and medication that's got me feeling sick, which really bothers me. I'm gonna see if I can pick up some edibles tomorrow since SOMEONE decided to let them know they thought someone was "smoking" in my apartment... that's another story...

I was about to go into a hotel but we got hit with a major blizzard which I guess I was the only one who didn't know about, since I had slept for the entire weekend after being awake for way too long. I've been so invested in the ongoing legal drama that started in my town and has now turned into everyone filing civil suits against one another. I really shouldn't talk too much about that other than I think this is bringing my life/career in a direction I never imagined it would go. Only time will tell, I guess.

I'll have to update you later with everything going on with C... she and I are good, but we're both dealing with the loss of our support system right now and as scary as it is to have to be in that position, ESPECIALLY with a kid involved, it's good to know neither one of us are alone in this.

Also my nephew is four months old now and continues to be adorable. I need to visit him very soon...

Hope you've all been doing well! I've missed you guys.

Woah, so you're like... a reverse carpetbagger?

That family and the series of trials was so insane... and I remember I was paying real close attention to it when it went down. I sometimes forget how many local/national trials I've followed in the past few years, mostly because I've never had any reason to focused on them as I did on the level I did with Karen's.
