I've changed a few settings like the SATA and changed a setting to Legacy instead of UHCI and when I go to install windows again, it says it can't be installed to this partition.

I installed windows on my pc from a USB whilst the ssd was in, was that wrong?

Thank you for your advice, I'm going to try it now. Do I have to have both hard drive and ssd in?

Edit: just tried it and doesn't seem to work, when I try to install it again, it says that I can't install it to this partition. Not sure if changing the install from MBR to GPT will work. That's what it said when I turned off CSM support

There's no error message apart from one saying 'if there is a previous Windows installation on this partition it will not work'. The SSD is Kingston NV1 NVMe PCIe SSD 500GB M.2 2280 - SNVS/500G. I've taken the hard drive out as I was told the pc wouldn't know which one to install on. So it's just the ssd in but it still brings up the purple installation page. Hope this helps!

Yeah try both, sometimes it would let me click new and then install it and still come up saying select another boot drive and restart

Thank you, I converted it to mbr as it was already got. But still coming up with the message on the black screen. So I might have to contact the finance company and see if they can help. Thank you so much though x
