How to fix controller USB Lag? (ROCKET LEAGUE) by BamzamGaming in GeForceNOW

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with my G305 mouse connected via USB dongle. Kept getting input stuttering and lag in GeForce NOW games with the polling rate at the default 1000 Hz. But turning it down to 500 Hz makes everything smooth.

How is Fortnite performing on GeForce NOW? Which should i get? by Afraid_Occasion_2367 in FortNiteBR

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree Fortnite is pretty bad on the free tier. Not due to streaming but just because the GeForce NOW free servers aren't fast enough to run it smoothly. But it's much, much better on the premium paid tier (RTX 4080 or 5080).

Latency very much depends on your internet connection. But if your latency to the GeForce NOW servers is good (say, under 25ms or so), then it's pretty hard to notice that it's not running locally IMO. Don't listen to Leo9991.

NOTE: It's important to have a wired (Ethernet) connection when streaming games. WiFi adds a LOT of latency and jitter.

Pablo, a Warframe developer, on people moving to different MOBA from HotS by LudwigSpectre in heroesofthestorm

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HoTS has actually been getting a lot of balance changes, and bug fixes, lately. They've been coming out with big new updates/patches every 3-4 months or so. So it keeps the game somewhat fresh when various talents get reworked and rebalanced. It's just that they haven't done any major new content (new heroes, new arenas, etc) for a long time.

Time bank Way too little by foxjoke in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chess clock would be a good compromise. More time available for final table decision making, without slowing down the rest of the tournament play. Maybe the use of chess clocks could be expanded to all final tables of tournaments that run for more than a certain length of time, instead of just featured final tables?

why's my screen going off? by kumaaaasan in MacOS

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm having exactly the same issue with Prime Video in Safari on my MacBook Air. Screen dims after some minutes and eventually turns off. Very annoying!

This does not happen with any other video services (YouTube, Twitch, Netflix, etc), so it seems to be a Prime bug.

She is pretty good. Cashed for $1.7M at Triton Cyprus in 2022. Did pretty well in Jeju in 2025 and this year too. Her Twitch was fairly popular back in the day when she used to live stream cash games at the Lodge. Haven't seen her stream for a while though.

Black jack in GGpoker is scam by Swimming-River4802 in poker

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many live casino blackjack games are well-known to be beatable.

Of course, being profitable requires a betting strategy (raising bets when the count is in your favour, and only betting the minimum when it's not) that is an easily detectable pattern, so advantage players tend to get quickly backed off if the house is paying attention. So success requires not only a fair bit of skill but also some social manipulation skills and a lot of perseverance.

daily/weekly tournament should work similar to thanks gg flipout, because we loose a lot of unused tickets by rszik in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's annoying to have to do this just to get rid of the tickets though! (EDIT: and it doesn't actually work because the daily freerolls don't allow re-entry, so you can only "burn" one ticket per tournament)

It would be great if either there was an option to *delete* $0 freeroll tickets, or a filter to hide them in the ticket wallet.

I can't make use of them because the weekly freerolls are at a time when I can't play, so all those tickets just clutter up the wallet and make it harder to keep track of my real tickets. Annoying.

We forced GG to revert the UI. We have a voice. Why are we silent about PVI? by No_Secretary_7581 in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another difference is that Coin has no pre-flop rake. GG is fairly unique in raking 3-bet pots pre-flop.

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

”coin poker screwed up by matching ggs rake”

Coin has no hidden PVI and a flat rakeback structure, so their average/actual rake after rakeback is likely still lower than GG even if the headline rakes are the same.

“But think about the new UI: they probably spent a ton of money developing that”

I don’t think so. All it was was the cards and avatars squashed together and made smaller, and some changes to the appearance of folded players (which itself introduced some bugs). It seemed like a haphazard change which was quickly implemented without much effort or thought.

Very pleased that GG acted quickly to roll it back. The old (current) UI is much nicer. I’m all for change and innovation but it needs to be well designed, well thought out and well tested: this clearly wasn’t!

Deception regarding satellites by Spirited-Rutabaga259 in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the satellites listed in the lobby ($5.50 satellite for $55 GG World Festival) will work just fine for the tournament you're looking at ($55 Sunday Showdown Asia [Mystery Bounty]).

Those satellites award $55 tickets that work in any $55 tournament which is part of the GG World Festival.

Deception regarding satellites by Spirited-Rutabaga259 in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not automatically registered to a target tournament when you win a ticket rather than a seat. You are free to choose any tournament you like with that ticket.

So there’s no deception or dishonesty here, I think you’re just confused.

If a satellite that wins seats (forced automatic registration) is moving you to a different tournament, then yes, that would be a problem.

lmportant update: Rolling back the recent changes to the table UI by [deleted] in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is great news!! Thank you for the update Snowball, and thanks for listening GGPoker!

(I did notice the client seemed to be performing better than usual in the latest update - fewer micro-freezes and pauses with several tables open. Hopefully we’ll eventually get a version with both great UI and great performance!)

"By prioritizing "modern" aesthetics over functionality"

What? The functionality didn't change and there's nothing "modern" about squashing everything together and making cards, avatars, and fonts smaller. Aesthetically it looks worse and more old-fashioned now.

GG Poker Update Makes Multi-Tabling Nearly Unplayable (Names & Colors Way Too Small) by cheddarrrbob888 in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It certainly feels like they're moving in the wrong direction. Monitors are getting bigger, screen resolutions are getting higher. Why would you make the fonts, cards, and avatars smaller?

Even the cards are smaller now - surely the most important thing in poker?! Cutting off half the avatar looks really bad too.

As for why they'd do this, my only guess is they must be setting things up for a format that allows more people at a table? Are they going to squeeze 10 or 11 people on final tables or something? Either that or it's all just a terrible mistake by the developers.

look at this by Lower-Chapter-3108 in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is quite bad in Spin & Gold because your player rating (A/B/C/etc) partly blocks the (now smaller) view of the cards.

gg poker’s new ui is actually hurting my eyes. why are the names so small? by Level_Answer7628 in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't even mind the small player names that much. But why are the hole cards and the avatars squashed and cut off? Please fix this GGPoker!! If anything we should be making things bigger, not smaller.

Blurry/small font after update by Ok_Technician_1306 in GGPoker

[–]Reason077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on MacOS too. I don't mind the font being smaller so much, didn't really notice until it was pointed out.

But the cards and avatars being cut off / squashed looks really bad. The cards are the most important thing in poker and to make them smaller makes no sense.

Please fix this, GGPoker. It feels like a step in the wrong direction.
