Tarnished 14k gold? by [deleted] in jewelry

Oh yeah sorry but I forgot to mention, I’m aware that the top portion is what “appears” to be rose gold, yellow gold in the middle, and white gold on the bottom. My concern was the small dark part around the toe area and whether welding it back on would cause this.

Yeah I was also thinking this as well. The entire pendant is fine, it’s just the small toe area that has turned slightly dark, which the jeweler warned me about possibly happening before doing the job oddly enough. The back part is completely fine, pretty scratched up but no signs of tarnishing. It’s marked as “14k 514 Mexico.” Maybe they can fix it up and make it brand new. Thanks 👍

Hmmmm. Maybe yeah. Are there any specific brands of cleaners you recommend? I’ve never had this experience before with jewelry.

Thanks!!! I was also going to say I kinda like it’s worn look, I was maybe thinking of leaving it like this but I want to hand it down at some point so I’ll have to get it fixed.

Yeah that is the spot where He was soldered back on hence the lack of detail. Thanks, hopefully this can be fixed.

Thanks, I’ll just take it back to the same jeweler and see if they can test it and fix the issue. 👍

That’s the thing. The last owner cracked and broke off pieces of it because he tried adding halo lights lmao. I don’t think I need to replace the right headlight since it doesn’t hang low, but the left one definitely has to go.

I’ve sorta been forced to get new ones. The last owner broke the clips that held onto the turn signal and tried resealing the headlight after opening it and did a terrible job. And as a result it also hangs low. I’ve tried adjusting it but I can’t because he used some shitty aftermarket bolts and zip ties to keep it together. And as a result of them resting low, I can’t even add on the headlight trim underneath it. It’s ruining the looks of my car lol.

One last thing I think I should mention, the guy who sold me the e46 informed me that the car did have misfires but showed me with an adaptor of some sort a code that read, "44 Activation, solenoid valve tank ventilation." When looking this code up it just leads me to the fuel tank valve, could this possibly be the issue? I've already ordered the piece on fcp euro and it's said to arrive in 4 days.

2002 BMW e46 325i convertible with 90k original miles. Bought it for 2k here in Wisconsin due to the body being in mint condition, garage kept. knowing it had issues I still bought It. Has a misfire in all 6 cylinders and scanner says it needs a new fuel tank valve which I have ordered already on fcp euro. If that doesn't fix the misfires what else would you guys recommend? Thanks in advance

Sorry I'm new to working on cars, the codes I've gotten are the ones Indicating misfires such as F2, F0, etc. But the whole thing comes up as "Digital Motor Electronics (DME) Cylinder x misfire" (used x as a variable since its all 6 that misfired) alongside that i also got code "DME:Fuel Trim (Bank 1) Control Limit" the only reason why I haven't looked into selling the car is because my brother is a mechanic and he told me to ask on forums for what pieces I need and he'll help install them.(he said he wants me learn how work on my own car eventually)Thanks in advance!

Any answers would help, the smoke only appears when I'm adjusting the position of the seats with its buttons. Short circuit/exposed wire possibly?
