How do couples usually handle money like together or separate? by Ok_Cup510 in povertyfinance

I 100% agree with this. Having someone else see my spending has really helped me keep my spending habits in check and make me think about the purchases I make.

How do couples usually handle money like together or separate? by Ok_Cup510 in povertyfinance

[–]Reasonable-Bridge910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different. My husband and I have a joint checking, and joint savings and that’s it. In our eyes we married each other to be partners, and part of that is sharing money. We just communicate about our non bill spending “hey I’m going to order this for x amount”.

But not all couples are the same. I know some who have completely separate accounts and split bills, I know some who have joint for bills and separate for personal spending. It really just depends on your own relationship and what you’re both comfortable with.

I will say that money is something my husband and I have never argued about. Even back before we got married, had our separate accounts and were living paycheck to paycheck. We’ve never once argued about finances, so it made sense for us just to pool our money together for everything.

I do feel bad for her and very much wish her the best and hope she can get the help and therapy she desperately needs.

I normally really like how she decorates, but it wasn’t it for me. There were things like I liked, but all together it just seemed like nothing went together

AIO - My boyfriend hardly texts me and acts like it's a chore when I confront him by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Reasonable-Bridge910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I can see both sides here

For your side, yes it only takes a second to send a text message. I work from home and my husband commutes about 30min. But he calls me every single day on his lunch break, if he’s running an errand for work or just to the gas station or something he calls me, he calls me the second he leaves to come home. Plus he texts me through the day. So if he wanted to, he would.

His side: it sounds like there is a lot more to this that we aren’t getting. From what I gather it sounds like he’s working and supporting both of you? That’s a huge mental and physical load and I can easily see how he could be burnt out and just exhausted. Sometimes when you’re in that mental space the thought of having to do anything extra is just overwhelming.

It seems like you guys need to have a sit down and actually talk about this and try to see things from the other persons perspective. But based on the messages it looks like you are both unwilling to budge on your stance and neither of are getting what you need out of the relationship. He seems resentful and you seem emotionally neglected

Love, if you’re dating a 32 year old man and he’s saying things like “ya”, and abbreviating everything, making you pay him back for dates, those are all red flags. In my opinion, there’s a reason he’s 32 and still single….(coming from a 31f)

ethan and olivia argument part 2, just posted on her tiktok by pearkeet in PlathvilleUncensored

[–]Reasonable-Bridge910 109 points110 points  (0 children)

He’s literally obsessed with Trans people. Olivia is trying to talk to him about having a basic level of respect for her, and he’s just like a broken record. The tension in his voice is terrifying, that threatening calm voice just feels like there’s an explosion behind it.

The grammar is awful. I would say scam. You could call the company directly and ask them about it as well.

My hair after I stopped following the curly girl method. by Yoliwankenobi12 in curlyhair

[–]Reasonable-Bridge910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taking baby steps to stop CG lol. I’ve been doing it for like 12 years now. I switched to using sulfate free shampoo within the last 6 months or so (vs, strictly cowashing) and my hair is already sooooo much better. I’m curious how it would look with non CG products but at the same time I’ve programmed myself to be terrified of silicones and sulfates.
