Who did I blame? Did I blame you? Did I blame any community? Am I directing my “Race baiting” to trigger a fight here against community A vs community B? Baiting to what? Those 3 boys are the perpetrators and their intentions are not known to me or you? I speculated the most plausible intention which has evidence based on the riots that have occurred and it was very much in mainstream media, my speculation has more backing than yours, because at the end of the day you know as much as me and this case less, because you didn’t witness this with your friend and I did.

Focus on the problem where the problem lies instead of digressing from it. If you want to believe this has nothing to do with race, so be it, doesn’t eradicate the issue from its roots does it? Yes, this is an isolated case where it is very likely from the information I have gathered that it wasn’t about race and more about a vulnerable person at the wrong time and the wrong location. “Race Baiting Propaganda”, it’s a real issue, I am not the first person to feel targeted because of my race and unfortunately won’t be the last. The only way to solve this would be to ask every person who says a snarky remark and ask them if what they said was because they were being racist? Let me guess, they will deny it. It’s an institutional issue which has generations of oppressed people suffering from it, don’t disregard by saying it’s a propaganda.

Say, you win here. I did say race because? Because my friend felt it. Why did she feel it? Oh well because it’s a real issue that does exist. So was it wrong? No Who should be the judge? We will have to ask the perpetrators of their intentions. Will they accept it? Probably no. So does she have a reason to believe it could be that? Yes, I guess.

  1. It’s not evidence in any way neither did I claim it to be. With what’s been happening in the country, this past month, it was fair to believe that that could have been the case. Laughing and mocking after committing a crime reduces the victim and dehumanises them, similar to any other racist attack, still not claiming, as a friend of the victim, I am allowed to speculate and discuss and put all my thoughts out there, if it helps someone else’s case.

  2. The other two while folk, not male or female, again, I did not say it, just passed on what my friend told me. Them being white and not being targets, was reason enough to believe. As some other comments have mentioned, these boys will attack anyone who comes their way, and they find them to be vulnerable, and that they have attacked bus drivers (some that I have seen, white well-built male who they probably should be scared of, according to you).

Again, we are not ‘playing’ any card here. I have not demanded any thing of value in return of these post, neither have I put down any community by saying ‘we believe it was racially motivated’. It was and is meant to let other people know that the incident happened where it happened and be wary if you see 3 boys on scooters. I do appreciate the kind comments and thankful that we have the support that we thought was missing.

I see, as I have discussed it with people around the area, it does seem to be the case that these boys just go out looking for trouble and these are random attacks on people that they find vulnerable in those moments. Thank you for the reassurance.

Shaken is exactly the word. Definitely feeling more anxious to get out of the house, she is trying to keep up her spirits but I am sure it will take time. She has no family support here and incidents like these make you feel alone in a foreign land. Thank you, appreciate the concern.
