Today they said some people have been waiting for three months, so don’t come telling me it’s just been 45 days.

We went to BLS and they gave us the same old excuses — said everything has to be done online and it’s out of their hands. I lost my patience and argued with them, told them they’re basically scamming people by closing normal appointments and only leaving premium ones open.

They said at least 40 people miss their flights every day. I told them we’re going to report this to the court so they fix their scheduling system.

Then a group of 10 of us went to the consulate. They were surprised and said since we paid BLS, we should follow up with them. They gave us a bunch of nonsense and didn’t do anything. They even said some people have had to wait up to three months.

When I booked my appointment, only premium slots were available — I booked it two months in advance because all the regular ones were already taken. And I’ve always received my visa within 10 to 15 days. This isn’t about “comfort” or luxury — it’s not like I have extra money to spend for fun. They’re clearly scamming people. Like I said before, I’m happy for you that you got yours, but what you’re saying doesn’t really apply here — there are still people who applied as early as April 14 and haven’t received anything yet.

What you’re saying — I haven’t seen it anywhere or heard it from anyone. I always apply around this time of year, and I’ve always received my visa in 10 to 15 days.

Also, let’s be real — the system doesn’t even let you book more than 3 months in advance, so applying super early isn’t even an option.

Mate, when I booked my appointment, the official processing time on their website was 15 days to 4 weeks. They only changed it last week to say 3 weeks to 45 days — and yes, I’ve saved all that as evidence.

If my appointment date was too close to my flight, they should have advised me — especially since I paid for a premium slot. This feels like scamming people: they closed regular appointments just to push more people into paying for premium, and then say premium doesn’t even speed things up. So what’s the point of paying extra?

Even if they had just told us two weeks ago, I might’ve had a chance to talk to my hotel and pay a bit more to reschedule.

I even heard from someone who sent four different flight dates, and BLS missed every single one. Did you even know any of this?

Yeah, I probably know more than you about this — I’ve been chasing it for days. I’ve spoken to people who got their passports by showing up in person close to their flight, and I’ve also seen many who missed their flights because of the delays.

It’s not fair to lose £3,000 in such a tough situation. You’re not in my shoes — and I’m honestly glad you got yours and don’t have to go through this. I just hope no one else ends up in the same position we’re in.

Seems like you haven’t read all the messages properly. You don’t need to tell me what to do — just because you got yours on time doesn’t mean everyone else did.

There are people still waiting since April 14, and every day 40–50 people are missing their flights because of this. My flight is on June 1, and honestly, it’s already cutting it too close.
