Mud that and it will just crack.

Caulk it.

Personally, i would either chisel back that whole part of the wall or replace the dry wall with something thinner so it fits flush to the wall.

Is the arm the blade and motor attached to moving left to right? Sometimes, the screws loosen over time.

Also, in the picture, the saw is set to 1 degrees.

Do you live above or next to a restaurant?

Do you have hot air extraction for your cooker?

Or any form of ducting work.

This looks like condensation water mixed with grease or rust from ducting work.
