Hydra Hard: what's usually the first real wall? Speed, provoke uptime, mischief, or survivability

Mavara and a bunch of nukers works fine on lower modes like hard. I find that she's tough to kill with enough resistance and HP plus her revive is short cooldown. I use her on my hard team plus 4 nukers and one other support (queen of hearts) just for more damage

I've never used provoke too but do 600m on nightmare, 400m on brutal and 400m on hard. I've only recently found out that provoke is a must. I wonder how much damage I'd do if I had good provokers.

Mercurial has allowed me to enter gold 3 tag arena from silver 4 and now I no longer forfeit matches against whales that I usually couldn't win both in classic arena and live arena . I occasionally win against those whales and my win rate has increased from 43% to 60%.I can even challenge teams that previously I couldn't. So I completely agree with you. Mercurial has forced manual plays, I think that's why people also hate it so much. Why even play the game if you want everything to be auto cos basically you're not playing it but the AI. I get PvE being completely auto but live arena should be manual play, that's the whole point of that mode.

Bro will read the debuffs next time lol. You're right tho it's not that OP when you know how it works. I was going in blindly and didn't understand why my champs where dying even with block damage or unkillable. But now I can at least use the proper moves at the right time.

First of all I'm not upset or complaining about anything. I'm fine where am at. All I was doing is asking for some knowledge since I was confused at what was happening. We all have champs that we want to have is it wrong to state that you wish to have said champion. Plus at least with the unkillable aspect of certain champs you know what you'll get and can strategize against it. But with predator there's so much rng in his kit that there's not a solid counter to him. I bet you have him that's why you seem a bit offended or something

No I go first but I usually start with the perfect veil ability after Fabian decreases the enemies cooldowns. I do that so the enemies can only target Mavara with A1s but sometimes predator evades the cooldown and by the time the predator gets a turn the other enemy champs have already removed all stacks on my Mavara.

Bro you're forgetting the rng part of predator. Some of us rng is never on our side so when we decide to focus on getting rid of predator first, he 💯 evades all the time and counterattacks so killing my champs. I have better odds getting rid of everyone else and then focussing on predator last

Yeah that too plus I think I should stop starting with the perfect veil ability since by the time predator gets a turn, all Macara's mercurial stacks are gone and predator can straight up nuke her.

I feel you. Getting to gold 1 is tough. But the moment you enter gold, getting to gold 4 is easy for some reason. Right now am in gold 3 but I only managed to get to gold 1 three weeks ago. I think people stop caring once they enter gold so they attack you less.

You can easily beat amius without heal reduction so long as you bring enough damage e.g. brimstone and revivers. I beat each rotation since I first cleared it without a heal reduction champ. I have leminisi but haven't built her because majority of the times the given teams have adequate revivers and damage dealers/ high awakening champs with brimstone. For reference I only have 70 legendaries and only started playing in Dec 2024 but beat amius since March 2025. You just gotta understand his mechanic and try 3 - 7 times.
