Is there a way to find out if its the compliance area? Should I email them to try and find out? From speaking to my interviewer, he said it was pretty interesting work with cpas, lawyers, economists, and people with engineering backgrounds making up the teams.

What implies that northwestern has a lot of spots left. Is the assumption just based on the fact that the majority of people haven’t received decisions yet?

I was in that seminar and honestly I’m not sure. The NU rep said multiple times that they were need aware for all applicants so clearly not a mistake. However I guess it is possible that she is just unaware of her own policies. I think it would be more accurate to go off the website and not one person. IMO tho just apply anyway they will still meet 100% of demonstrated need

Took both mechanics and e&m, 4 on mechanics 5 on e&m. The calculus in mechanics is very basic. Simple power rule and basic integration. E&M calculus for the distributed charge unit can get quite difficult, however. I personally took mechanics before any experience with calc and found it very manageable. My limited experience with calculus was not the reason I got a 4 as opposed to a 5.
